  • Wonderful stay

"The historic Zanone House is truly impeccably restored. Staying there transported us to a more elegant time while also providing us with all the modern amenities that added comfort to the historical building. We were visiting our son and family and we enjoyed dinner together in the beautiful dining room. Our two year old granddaughter enjoyed the flock of ducks and chickens on the spacious three acre property. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in many Home Away properties but this is the best. We have recommended this to our friends. It is centrally located and an easy trip to downtown and beyond. Very highly recommended!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Big Cabin from 11/10 to 11/14, 2016. It was not enough time to fully enjoy this house and southern Humboldt County. The views were great and the easy access to Murphy's Market was perfect. We usually stay in Trinidad but this is our new favorite. The house was comfortable and offered several places to find a spot to relax and enjoy the views. The house is rustic but modern where you need it to be.The wood stove was really great (I wanted to take it home.)After spending time roaming the beaches and foothills it was really a treat to fire off the stove and feel the warmth. It fit the house perfectly. We had a neighborhood buck spending nights on the long driveway. Our dog was very interested in that during his last call walk each night. All in all, hope to stay here again and enjoy more of what this house has to offer."

  • nice property, excellent location

"I spent 4 weeks in this apartment and had a very nice stay. Furnishings were fine, and kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals. This was an excellent location right in the heart of the Old Town District, so easy to explore places on foot. I enjoyed sitting by the open window (in August!) to read and look out on the plaza in front of the building. I did hear some street noise, as this is a popular spot for pedestrians with shops, galleries, restaurants, etc., but I found that to be part of the appeal of the apartment. Property manager Joe works right around the corner and was easy to reach if I needed anything or had a question. I hope to stay in this place again. I loved the cool weather, away from the mid-Atlantic heat and humidity. I'd never been to Eureka before, and it was everything I hoped for and then some."
