  • Historic and artsy retreat!

"We enjoyed our stay in this historic cottage by the sea! The house is filled with artistic expression both inside and out . There lots of wonderful windows that make it feel light and airy and offer pleasant views of the sea and yard . The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for a wonderful time. Thank you Gary for sharing this special place.we would definitely recommend this to a friend. It is a old gem of a house . Great for those who appreciate a home with old house charm. Wonderful path down to the water too...and walking distance to everything."

  • Perfect for Couples or Family and close to Trails!

"Relaxing in the hot tub was fantastic. We had 2 couples and 3 kids and it was plenty roomy. The coastal trail at the end of the lane is beautiful and I was able to run there from the rental. Very peaceful. Well equipped kitchen. The short drive to Mendocino is very scenic and it was easy to go back and forth. Definitely would rent there again!"

  • Amazing View!! Large and Unique Home

"The views from the deck, dining room, and upstairs bedroom are amazing. We loved it here. The house is very large and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked. Russian Gulch State Park is very close and has a nice beach area. Also at Russian Gulch is the Devils Punchbowl, some sea caves, and a natural rock bridge."

  • Impeccably Clean and Perfect Location in Mendocino

"This was out first trip VRBO experience and first trip to Mendocino. The Village Water Tower was a wonderful place to accommodate four people. The cottage is extremely clean, which we loved! It is decorated with all kinds of small touches that are welcoming and reminiscent of the area. It is cozy, but there is plenty of space for four people and a kitchen which supplies all of the needs for meal preparation. A market is located just up the road where you can purchase snacks, prepared meals, and groceries should you want to cook. The roof deck is what attracted us to these accommodations and the views are truly amazing. The only bummer is you are not allowed to have chairs on the roof. We had no idea and were politely asked to remove the chairs. The cottage is located in a fantastic location: close to town, the ocean, and school track, which was a wonderful surprise. You can take a run at the track with views overlooking the ocean. The area is filled with unique local shops featuring arts, crafts, antiques, books, souvenirs, specialties, and restaurants. Make sure to try Frankies!!! Delightful ice cream that will not disappoint. The town closes up at 9:00pm and most of the shops are closed by 6:00pm, so take note to get your shopping and browsing in early. The Market is open a bit later, but the town pretty much closes up by 9:00pm. It was wonderful to relax in the comfortable bed upstairs with the windows open in the evening and just decompress! There's a bed on the third floor that seems larger than a twin; it is a great spot to nap and read during the day. LOVED this location and hope to return! We highly recommend this VRBO experience."
