"We loved the location and the house. It could use some updating. The coffeepot is the slowest one I have ever encountered. The hot tub was great. Our only complaint is lack of follow-up after we left. I left all my husband's socks and underwear at the house. Have called the housekeeper and left a message. Also emailed the owner, no reply in 2 days from either. We are staying down the coast and asked them to ship overnight and put on the credit card they have or call me and get another card number, but no one has taken the time to call. Really poor customer service. Gave them phone e numbers and emails to get in touch. Really disappointed. I guess once they have your money it's out if sight out of mind."

  • Absolutely Fantastic!!!

"I proposed to my future wife here this week and I can say without a doubt that coming to SeaEscape to pop the question was the absolutely the best choice. The views are fantastic, and Seamus made the whole process from booking the reservation to checking in a breeze. As for the house itself, you will feel right at home as soon as you walk in, and everything you could want or need is already there. All you need to do is bring some clothes and the rest is all taken care of. The Harvest Market in the town of Mendocino is only about 10 minutes away and will have everything you need to prepare some fantastic meals. Of course there are plenty of local restaurants to choose from as well. I can't say enough about Seamus and SeaEscape other than "Thank you for opening your home to make this a spectacular memorable event" We will both be looking forward to our next stay at SeaEscape."

  • Oceanfront in March

"I would actually give 4 1/2 stars. Together with another couple, we visited this home for 6 days in March. Our stay included warm sunny days and a scary hurricane-like storm. This home is an amazing place to be, in either situation. The views are stunning. The waves pounded nonstop. Lighthouse beacon swirled through our bedroom at night. It was a very special place to be. Downside: we did have to battle ants in the kitchen and went out to buy some ant spray, as there was none in the house. The other kitchen issue was the complete disarray of items in the drawers and some of the cupboards, which resulted in lots of hunting around for needed utensils or containers. I would think the maids or cleaning crew could make some sense of the kitchen chaos. We have stayed in other places where everything had a labeled place, and were much more organized in the kitchen. We enjoyed the pool table during the storm, and thankfully the power didn't go out. Fireplace kept us warm and cozy. I was able to fly my kite on the bluff on the sunny days, a nice breeze was just right. Our friends said the downstairs bed was good for them. We found the upstairs bed to be quite hard; it could have used a foam topper! This home is in a lovely neighborhood and close to both Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg. Owner was very easy to work with and we extended our stay for an extra day without any trouble."
