  • September Haus

"The owner is very easy to work with and made sure our stay was wonderful. The condo is beautiful, inspired us to go home and make some changes. The kitchen is awesome for 3 women to cook and prep in at the same time and is fully stocked with everything - updated appliances, top of the line pots and pans, ... The view is spectacular! The weather was rainy, cold and very windy but we were happy to be in the living room watching the weather outside. We are looking forward to our next girl's weekend at September Haus."

  • A little slice of heaven

""This home is a little slice of heaven. The pictures and description represent it accurately. The beach was private and the accommodations were very comfortable. We had one minor issue with hot water and the after hours number picked up and addressed it immediately. Can't say enough about this gem of a house and the dreamy location. We will be back!""

  • Comfortable stay!

"This home was perfect for our group of three sisters and spouses attending a nieces wedding in nearby Elk. The three bedrooms have very comfy beds and nice linens and each has it's own bathroom. The kitchen had excellent quality appliances and everything we needed. The decor is attractive and smart - slipcovered furniture is brilliant for vacationers! We enjoyed the spacious family room for group TV watching one evening. Having a nice BBQ and all the tools needed was so nice. The stacks of books about homes around the world were fun to dream over. The views from the deck are lovely. Two minor suggestions - the east bathroom shower assembly needs attention - we either got a dribble or a blast. It is probably an easy fix. The instruction book needs an update about the wifi login :) Thank you for really nice accommodations and best wishes!"

  • Relaxing and Peaceful family getaway

"Our family of 5 and our dog, wanted to have a short vacation away from the busy bay area. We always travel with Grandparents, cousins, friends and realized we haven’t had a family vacation with just US for years! This property was better than I expected from their website. The quite neighborhood it is situated in was beautiful. We woke every morning (4 day stay) to walk our pup among tons of deer grazing in the yard and across the street, you could hear and see the beautiful Pacific, and the vibe was just so relaxing. The house is furnished very tastefully, and the kitchen was well stocked. The soft linens on the bed were extremely comfortable and we all slept so well. We spent lazy days hanging on the porch bbqing, in the hot tub, kids relaxing in the nice open, large living room by the fire playing games. At night we watched movies from their huge stash of DVD’s. We brought our telescope that was given to my oldest son as a gift and have not been able to use it yet. It was amazing for star gazing. Even without the telescope the kids have never seen so many stars. Irish Beach is spectacular with tons of drift wood that the kids built a little house out of, and we saw maybe two other people the whole day we spent there. Short drive to Fort Bragg to take kids on a quick train trip. We shopped at the local grocery store in town for most of our meals. It was nice they had a washer and dryer in the house. My 12, 7 and 5 year old had the best time and did not want to leave. It is amazing how just getting out of your home and element can be really great for the family. The kids all got along so well this weekend, and there was no video games, iPhones to play with, cartoons, toys littering the floor. It was just us. It was magical! One evening we were all on the back deck and a ton of donkeys came running down the hill to us! It was hilarious and awesome for the kids. They let us pet them, and we feed them some celery (hope that was okay). We felt at home and comfortable. It was JUST what our little family needed to recharge the batteries of our busy day to day life. I don’t think we looked at the time once! Ahhhh… I can’t wait to go back next year. Thank you Alex and Cathy for taking such good care of this property. The love you have for it shows and we can’t WAIT to return next year and make this an annual trip for our family. Just a wonderful time!!!!"
