  • Idealistic Coastal Retreat

"We rented this home for a much needed weekend get away. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the area and the home itself. Conveniently located for day excursions between Mendocino and Ft Bragg. Especially enjoyed the Point Cabrillo Light Station tour. The home itself is spacious, clean, and organized. Very relaxing. We're planning to stay again."

  • Heavenly Haven

"We spent an amazing week at Phoenix Nest! We fell in love with this beautiful home as soon as we found it on VRBO and although the photos are an accurate depiction of the home, it took our breath away as soon as we walked in the door and were stunned by the 180 degree panoramic view of the Peninsula and the ocean from the many floor to ceiling windows. The home is warm, welcoming, comfortable and extremely well appointed. Everything we needed was available and more. Pat has seen to every detail. We were two couples and the home was a perfect fit, as we are nature lovers -- we couldn't stop "ooing and ahing". We loved the cacophony of seals and sea lions that became the background music for our stay. The decorating is lovely and there are many unique pieces of art throughout the home to be enjoyed. We loved having our morning coffee, afternoon cocktail and stargazing at night on the deck. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and every detail provided for. The home is also impeccably clean. Pat is extremely responsive and was spot on with her recommendations for dining and touring. We highly recommend St. Orres, Trinks and Uneda Eat for dinner and Trinks for their amazing pastries as well!!! We also visited the Anderson Valley AVA which made for an enjoyable day of visiting wineraries. One of the highlights of our week (there are too many to list) was our day spent out on Haven's Neck, the private peninsula -- just breathtaking and so satisfying to know that it has been designated as a nature preserve, as it is a unique habitat. There had to be upwards of 500 seals and sea lions occupying the North Beach and we were able to explore the South beach with its many shells and driftwood. And...we can't forget the hot tub which is perfectly situated for use either during the day or at night. We can only hope to return someday to this little piece of heaven!"

  • One of my best vacations ever

"My partner and I recently spent 3 nights at the Sailfish, along with our dog. We had a fantastic time—it was one of our favorite vacations we've ever taken! Whether sipping coffee under the umbrella on the deck, reading on the lounge chairs while sneaking peeks at the ocean, looking up at the stars from the hot tub, or strolling down the garden path to the bluffs, the place is a dream retreat. The owner's communication was outstanding, and the new updates she made to the property make it extra special. Every detail of the house and the property feels well thought out, and it has a great personality that is welcoming and charming. We brought some food with us and supplemented with the lovely grocery in Gualala. It was a great kitchen to do some cooking if you like to do that. We have stayed at several places before in Sea Ranch, but this one was by far my favorite. Highly recommended!"

  • Idyllic!

"We came here for a summer vacation with the family (kids ages 6 and 2) and grandparents, and were immediately planning our return visit. The setting is idyllic , with a beautiful lake adjacent to the two cabins we rented. Our daily routine involved swimming, kayaking, walking around the property and painting the beautiful landscape. Brenda and Greg were gracious hosts, and the kids loved their lively dog Choco, too. The cabin was well equipped and had games for the kids. We look forward to returning."
