  • Fabulous!

"The first thing you notice upon walking into the house is the wall of windows with a view to the ocean. Our favorite spot was lounging on the window seats reading and staring at the ocean. We had daily deer visits and a great horned owl high in the pine tree looking for his evening meal. The house was comfortable and very welcoming with a well stocked kitchen to satisfy our cooking needs. The house is close to Pt. Arena where we found 2 high quality restaurants: Bird and Uneda! We love to visit NorCal and would definitely come back to St. Claire House."

  • Perfect Ocean Home

"My family (3 grandkids, son & daughter in law, my husband and myself) had a glorious vacation at this lovely ocean view home. To say it has an ocean view is an understatement as it right on the ocean. We spent hour after hour sitting on the deck around the fire pit and walking along the expansive coastline. It could not have been a better place for our crew. The kids ( 15- 20 years old) spent most of their time on the beach or riding bikes up and down the trail. The house is beautifully decorated with more than ample space so no one was bumping into each other. We cooked all our meals in the well appointed kitchen and enjoyed nights by the fire. I have been coming to this area all my life and this was by far my best experience."

  • Absolutely Amazing!

"Our family of 5 (Kids aged 10, 7 and 7) stayed and this house for a week long vacation and, without question, it was one of the best we've had. The view of and access to the river are absolutely amazing. The pictures really don't do it justice! We were aiming for a "kids, go play outside!" vacation and that's exactly what we go. From frog catching to swimming in the "waterfalls" downstream, we made good use of the river every day we were there. We slept with all 3 sliding glass doors open to the long porch so that we could enjoy the fresh air and the sound of the river, never once concerned about security. Civilization feels miles away, though it's really only a 15 minute drive into town. The house was reasonably well appointed (though it does not come equipped with any folding chairs, beach towels or decent pots) with plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. Of all the VRBO rentals we've stayed at, this is the only one for which I've bothered to write a review and that's because I highly recommend this house."

  • Nice for the fishermen's

"My husband and his brother decided to take the family on a trip which would accommodate the whole family which included young kids. The house was very welcoming, roomy and warm. The place had everything and more you need in the kitchen. The stay was nice but I probably would not go or take the kids anymore. I believe the area is more suitable for people who goes there to fish only. It seemed it was algae season and we basically stayed in the house and deck only. At night, there was also so many mosquitoes, we weren't able to enjoy ourselves outside. Other than that, the stay was nice."
