  • Beautiful and Comfortable!

"I could go on and on about this beautiful home - but I believe the other reviews covered it nicely. Couple of things that weren't stated on reviews that may be helpful... this home is nicely equipped to accommodate larger groups. Plenty of kitchen appliances/dishes/pots & pans for large groups. (There was a blender & crock pot available too). The biggest issue that I was concerned about was the fact that Diana didn't take credit cards. She processed payments the old fashioned way with a rental contract and checks for payment. I was a little skeptical at first... but she is legit! An upstanding real estate agent in the area, and a fine property manager. So, don't let the lack of credit card payment keep you from staying at this home. It was BEAUTIFUL, and was in such a great location to go explore Jedidiah Smith Redwoods during the day - and relax and enjoy the outstanding views of the Pacific during the evenings."

  • Lovely, peaceful homey cottage

"We loved our three nights at Stringbender Cottage and only wished we were staying longer. This was the best vacation rental I've experienced - lovely inside and out, very homey and beautifully decorated. We ate dinners in and really appreciated the well equipped kitchen. It is perfectly located for trips to Fort Bragg and Mendocino, with the ocean beaches nearby but nicely protected from wind in it's forest setting. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patios listening to birds and the gentle breeze in the trees. We are looking forward to another visit one day. Michele & Deborah"

  • Amazing cottage!!

"We had the pleasure of renting this lovely cottage for our anniversary. Everything was wonderful! Ginny made sure we had plenty of information prior to our arrival to make everything just wonderful. She gave us lots of informatio on the area and tips of where to eat and things to do. Once we arrived Norm made sure we knew all about the place and where things were. The cottage was very comfortable and has the most amazing views. The location is great and was close to plenty of areas to explore. We really enjoyed our selves and had the most restful and relaxing vacation ever. Hope we can go back again soon!"

  • Quiet, Cozy, Romantic Artists Retreat

"We spent 3 nights for our 20th Anniversary at this property and could not be more pleased. It was awesome!! By far one of the best places we have ever stayed. Everything was clean and in perfect working order. Quiet forest setting with super cool hot tub view from the back deck. The cottage is just the right size for two people. It has all modern appliances, comfortable king size bed, wifi, Dish TV in bedroom with blue-ray player and a whole house stereo that accepts iPod or tablet input. It is definitely designed to be a romantic get away for couples and it delivers just that. Can't say enough good things about our stay. Russell (the owner) was awesome and the complimentary bottle of champagne was a very classy touch! We will be back for sure! Do yourself a favor and book a stay at the Artists Retreat, you will be glad you did."
