  • Lovely Hidden Hideaway

"Beautiful surroundings and lovely indoor decor. Had some water issues and Liz got a plumber to come right away. Best to check-in during the day as the lovely serene hideaway can be hard to find in the dark. Had fun visiting sister in Gualala. Will be back now that we know where it is. Thanks so much, Liz."

  • Great property, Beautiful home!

"As soon as we walked in it felt like a home away from home. All the amenities we could think of are available, from cooking utensils in the kitchen to extra bedding/blankets for the living areas. The various windows allow for a beautiful view of the surrounding greenery. We really felt like we were far off in a forest of our own. The drive from the exit to the actual home looks a little scary/secluded at first, but once you find the actual house its a beautiful view. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area."

  • peaceful getaway

"The Sea Ranch area is amazing & a really interesting concept which was conceived in the 60's! Really a lot of history to see @ the lodge & endless walking/biking/running trails, none without awesome views! The only reason I didn't give the property 5 stars, was because of a mixup when we arrived; after driving 7+ hours, we pulled into raccoon-strewn garbage & previous tenant's leavings... with that said, we called Gordon & he got Jamie on the job within an hour; we went over to the golf course, had a beer & picked up some local knowledge re: the course. When we returned, 2 hours later, the darling house was perfect. We were just 2, so had some extra room. 5 would be a crowd, although seating, beds & bathrooms for all. Two nice masters w/baths downstairs & daybed upstairs; views from everywhere! Loved the sunshades - perfect for privacy, but still muted views. Hot tub in perfect condition, facing the Pacific. Gualala a really interesting, friendly town. We didn't make it to Point Arena... maybe next time? Definitely recommend the "Lighthouse". Gordon & Judy have made this a relaxing, rejuvenating place to spend time. Loved it"

  • Great little hideaway!

"We stayed at the guesthouse with another couple when we were in Hopland for a wedding. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, so we had plenty of privacy. The house is secluded and very peaceful, with great vineyard views. The kitchen is well equipped. Two cats patrol the property and are very friendly. If we ever find ourselves in Hopland again, this is where we'll stay!"
