  • Warm, cozy, great location, just a few small glitches

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After a weird start (when we arrived the door was unlocked, the lockbox lying open on the ground, and when we ventured inside the key turned up inside on a table) we found this small studio to be a warm and cozy place in a mostly quiet and convenient location. It had not been cleaned when we arrived but someone came to take care of it within an hour or so and promised to take 10% off the bill - I would have preferred simply to have the place ready when we arrived, but it was only a small annoyance. Disappointingly small refrigerator in rather awkward location, idiosyncratic supply in kitchen (pepper but no salt? so we bought some and left it)."

  • Oceanfront in March

"I would actually give 4 1/2 stars. Together with another couple, we visited this home for 6 days in March. Our stay included warm sunny days and a scary hurricane-like storm. This home is an amazing place to be, in either situation. The views are stunning. The waves pounded nonstop. Lighthouse beacon swirled through our bedroom at night. It was a very special place to be. Downside: we did have to battle ants in the kitchen and went out to buy some ant spray, as there was none in the house. The other kitchen issue was the complete disarray of items in the drawers and some of the cupboards, which resulted in lots of hunting around for needed utensils or containers. I would think the maids or cleaning crew could make some sense of the kitchen chaos. We have stayed in other places where everything had a labeled place, and were much more organized in the kitchen. We enjoyed the pool table during the storm, and thankfully the power didn't go out. Fireplace kept us warm and cozy. I was able to fly my kite on the bluff on the sunny days, a nice breeze was just right. Our friends said the downstairs bed was good for them. We found the upstairs bed to be quite hard; it could have used a foam topper! This home is in a lovely neighborhood and close to both Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg. Owner was very easy to work with and we extended our stay for an extra day without any trouble."

  • WOW! would come here again!

"Kris and Mike were wonderful hosts. Very welcoming and friendly. A very clean place and accommodates 4 people and a dog easily. Bunk and master beds were very comfortable. We used the walking bridge and Kris met us with the golf cart. THANK YOU, Kris! We brought our own food, etc. The hot tub at night with the cold rain was THE BEST! Would definitely recommend this place. Beautiful, solitude, and Redwoods are close."

  • Roth Court rental

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were there for daughter's graduation from HSU- great location for the back road to the University. Nice to sit on deck in evening and enjoy the surrounding trees and ambiance. Seqouia Park nearby, and the Zoo- both fun and beautiful."
