  • Eclectic and wonderful!

"We so enjoyed this property for our annual mutual birthday getaway with family and friends! The home has numerous decks and lounging areas to read, talk and play games while enjoying the lake and views! The kitchen was large enough for multiple chefs to work and there are 2 refrigerators (one downstairs) for the shocking amount of food and drink we brought for just 3 nights! We especially loved the outdoor pizza oven which we used for two of our nights and the outdoor grill cooked our roast perfectly while the indoor oven was working on cheesecakes! The only slight oddity was that the 3 lower bedrooms were all connected to each other (you had to walk through the first and second to get to the third)... so no true privacy was available to those inhabitants! Also, the sole boat rental facility on the lake is a half hour drive to the other side... but if you had your own this would really be amazing with it's own dock and launch! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

  • another great stay at irish beach

"me and my family have been staying at irish beach for quite a few years and we always have a great time.this was our first time staying at this house ,it is located by itself in a court which was very private and parking is great in or out of driveway.the owner Kelly has made it very easy to rent ,key arrived in mail a couple days before we left and heat was on when we arrived .it is a nice house has everything you need including stocked kitchen, plenty of dvds , games, towels and bbq.this is a well kept house and heated floors are nice.if you are staying for holiday and plan on cooking turkey or something big you will need to bring big disposable pan ,the pan at house is not quite big enough .but there is a nice store about 3miles away if you need anything .the only reason I gave this 4 stars is because the people who rented before us left a couple things messy when they left so we had to spend a few minutes cleaning them up upon arrival but in their defense everybody has a different idea of clean.still would have left 41/2 stars but only had choice of 4 or 5 .would stay here again for sure"

  • Excellent Location...But Not Quiet

"This 2 bedroom condo has pluses and minuses: Pros: Very comfortable and cozy Nice bay view Very secure building No one above Modern kitchen Gas fireplace which works as a heater Great restaurant below...mostly Japanese cuisine Very well located in Eureka's Old Town District with great restaurants and shops Comfortable beds Management company is responsive Reserved parking space Fairly large flat screen TV with cable We are very grateful we were allowed to keep our "grand-dog" with us. Cons: Very slow Internet For us, it was noisy at various times during the day and trucks during the day to the ice cream shop and restaurant below. They take delivery right below the condo and trucks park under the windows and leave their engines running. At night the ice cream shop and restaurant move their tables across the floor to clean and back again. Almost constant from 8:00 - 9:30 or 10:00 PM. Ice cream shop workers keep their radio on at night at a volume we could hear in both bedrooms and living room. That being said....we rented for a month during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We were not gone site-seeing during the day as many guests normally would be. And, the sound may not be bothersome to many. We stayed in another unit in the complex, unit R-5 (I think) and had none of the above mentioned noises....but it is a 1 bedroom unit. I wish I could give Bayfront One unit R-1 a 5 star....but I just can't."

  • Sanctuary in the woods

"This was such a beautiful retreat from the world. Surrounded by redwoods and only 10min from the town of Mendocino, we were completely enchanted. The view outside every window is filled with bursting redwood trees. Everything you could need is provided, including a lovely book and DVD selection, comfy furniture, well-appointed kitchen, extra knick nacks in case you forgot something. Everything was thought of, truly. And the cottage was impeccably spotless upon our arrival. We grilled on the patio and snuggled into the super comfy bed, loving how still and quiet everything was around us. We spent time going incredible state parks and soaking in the absolute stunning scenery of Mendocino. Just breath-taking, top to bottom. Also had two incredible meals - one at the Ledford House and another at Wild Fish. We highly recommend both, and each set on a cliff with spectacular ocean views. We would love to come back and stay at this cottage again...very soon! Thank you, Deb and Ron, for creating such a sanctuary in the woods."
