"We booked this home at the last minute, and the owner was responsive and accommodating. The home is well appointed and has a full kitchen with all the utensils and proper cookware, including small things like ziplock bags.
Pros: As advertised, the home is a 60 second walk from the beach. The photos are representative--it's very clean (this is a beach home and there was NO sand on the floor anywhere) and modern (if a little antiseptic and echo-y). The owner provided a pack and play for our toddler (awesome!), and there are 4 quality beach chairs for use. Beds are new. The owner is responsive and accommodating. Street parking is tight, but there is off street parking in a garage for one car (very tight!). TVs are huge and have DirecTV. The deck is modest but nice, with a BBQ (we didn't use it). The back bedrooms are removed from the main room, so there is some measure of noise buffering for those who wish to retire early.
Cons: The home across the street is under construction. That provided little problem for us, because they were in the painting phase and it wasn't noisy, but prospective renters should be aware. The beds are new but pillow top and very soft. We prefer a firmer bed, so it caused some back stiffness for us, but if you like a soft bed, you'll love it. The main boulevard is one lot away, so there is some road noise, but it wasn't intrusive. The stairs are steep, so if you have a toddler (like we do), you'll need to take measures to block access. Our only beef with the house is that the cleaners use heavily scented products (especially in the laundry). This really isn't necessary, as there are plenty of scent-free quality detergents on the market, and it's guaranteed to annoy those who are sensitive to chemical fragrances.
All in all a good experience. If they changed to green/scent-free cleaning products, I'd have given a fifth star."
