  • Wonderful stay at 114 35th Street

"For some reason, I expected small bedrooms and a smaller house but the size exceeded my expectations. It was a great location -- doors from the beach and walking distance to the pier. We all rode our bikes if we had to go to the market which was only a few blocks away. The house was beautifully decorated yet comfortable and was surprised of all the amenities available. It was very well maintained -- everything looked brand new. My family felt safe as there were so many friendly people on the boardwalk. We all took a walk to a nearby pizza place one night for dinner and it was so relaxing walking back. There is a permanent volleyball net for everyone to enjoy on the beach and although there were signs prohibiting dogs on the beach during certain hours, people were very respectful with their animals. It was great having all the needs at my finger tips especially having a well stocked kitchen. My family wants to go back and I would definitely recommend going again."

  • Enchanting Home in Perfect Location

"My family of four, including two teenage boys, came to Balboa Island for five nights so we could be close to UC Irvine for my son's Orientation. It was just over a 10 minute drive to the campus and it only took us about 25 minutes to visit friends who live in Laguna Beach. This enchanting home on Balboa island was just around the corner from the main street and we walked around the island for a half hour walk every morning. The views were amazing and the people we encountered were all very friendly, including Jill, the owner who was residing in the upper unit above the garage. She was very helpful telling us where to park when friends came to visit, where to find the grocery store and how to catch the five minute ferry to the Balboa Peninsula. The home was well stocked and very comfortable. We loved opening all the doors and my husband worked at the patio and inside table for a couple hours early every morning. We went on a narrated 90 boat tour around the island one day and our boys parasailed another day. The restaurants in the area were all delicious and the I loved the store in town with local artwork. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend this little gem to friends and family."

  • Great property in Huntington beach

"Stayed with the kids for spring break and the property was just perfect for our group. The older girls took the 3rd floor bedroom the little ones took the bedroom on the 2nd floor, I had the master bedroom on the 2nd floor. All rooms have attached full bathrooms. Didn't get to use the outdoor fire pit or the outdoor Grill area but they looked great! House was decorated well and I really loved the carpet and flooring! Kitchen was very large and easy to make meals. Huntington beach has ton of shops and food within walking distance so the older kids had a blast. There are a number of stairs in the house as an FYI if you have very little ones it may be tough to keep an eye on them. Sanchos tacos is very yummy and Sugar Shack is an A++ breakfast option. Disney is about 30 minutes away. You do have to drive to get to the Grocery store. It was tricky to get the ideal water temp out of the shower but I finally got use to it."

  • Fabulous Beach Cottage

"We had a most wonderful time staying here for a week while escaping the hot Arizona sun. For our family of 3, this was the perfect size. The queen bed is firm, which is how we like it and the 3 extra beds worked well for having slumber parties with our 10-year-old daughter. The furniture and decor is vintage/antiques and aren't very beachy, but they were very pretty pieces. The kitchen and bathroom are updated very nicely - note, there is no tub. We loved using the grill after days at the beach and sitting among the beautiful gardens. The garage is a great extra and has the washer and dryer as well as beach toys, chairs, baby equipment and bikes! We did bring our own bikes, which truly added to our fun. We biked to the beach daily as well as some coffee shops and breakfast places and ice cream (The Ice Cream Way!) stores. The kitchen is well equipped. Shampoo, conditioner, new bar soap and plenty of toilet paper were provided. We had only two issues and they were quickly attended to by David. The location is perfect, too! Close enough to the downtown and beaches but far enough away to get street parking and enjoy some quiet nights. There's no AC but the coastal breezes from the open windows worked fine and my daughter and I each used a floor fan to blow cool air on our faces at night. We definitely plan to recommend this location to friends and hope to return!"
