  • Wonderful House, Great Location!

"We absolutely loved the house. It was clean, comfy beds, great location, and it had everything!! Bikes, beach chairs, sand toys, beach towels....we didn't have to bring anything! The kitchen was great-very spacious and up to date. The location was amazing-steps away from both the bay and the ocean. Lots of little shops and restaurants around-we literally never used our car the whole week! Everything was within walking or biking distance. The owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We give it 5 stars!!"

  • Legoland Trip

"We loved the place! Very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We had promised our grandchildren a visit to Legoland which is about 10 minutes away from the rental. Perfect accommodations for 4 adults and two children. Village location was fantastic with Pub across the street, beach within walking distance, numerous restaurants nearby and very close to I-5. Patio area was icing on the cake!"

  • Very modern home in a great location.

"This home was fabulously decorated, very clean and well cared for. Pretty much everything was provided, linens, towels, shampoo, coffee etc. All of this is listed in the home description. The location was wonderful for getting to downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp district. It was also very close to Balboa Park, just a very short drive and also easy access to freeways. We loved the convenience of not having to worry about parking downtown and just having a 5 or 6 block walk to great restaurants and the ballpark (we did go to a game there), and convention center. The owner was great, kept in touch with us throughout making sure everything was ok. He also told us about the best place to go to watch the 4th of July firework display, which we went to and it was great. Definitely a good place to stay if you want to be close to downtown San Diego. We had a great time there and loved the electronic keypad for entry."

  • Family vacation with HS & College kids

"We stayed in the lower unit and loved it. The location is fantastic, a quick 1 minute walk and you're on the sand; walk another block and a half and you're at Belmont Park (close to the action & far from the noise)- home of the famous 90 year old Big Dipper wooden roller-coaster and other amusement park rides. We really appreciated, and made good use of, the included boogie boards and bicycles and we also rented a surfboard for $10/day from one of the local surf shops. We traveled with our 3 kids (ages 14 to 23). The lower unit is probably best for 4 people as there is 1 queen and 2 twin beds. There is also a fold-out couch in the living room but since we'd get up earlier than the kids they chose to all sleep in the room with the 2 twin beds. It worked because the owner kindly provided an inflateable mattress which we just leaned against the wall during the day. There is no ac (typical for SoCal) but fans are provided and the evenings were pleasant. We walked down quite a few of the neighboring courts and thought Ensenada Ct. was the most charming! This was our first family stay in San Diego and we definitely hit the jackpot with this South Mission Beach property! We look forward to returning for years to come!"
