  • Location Location Location!

"This is a great location right on an exciting part of the San Diego beach. You're almost directly across from 2 flights of stairs to the beach, or a block north of Crystal Pier where anyone can catch a ray or shark without a license for just $10 rental. Mark was great at communication and worked around lost keys by having the cleaner let me in. The building is showing some age but the unit is well furnished. The closet has a bunch of beach accessories. That part of the beach has a lot of surf and you either have to like surfing, or diving in waves, or you can just enjoy the sand. The water is warm enough to swim in for awhile. The pool is refreshing after the beach. The hot tub is tiny - just 3 people, but at least they have one. The parking is crazy so the one spot provided is like gold. Just a block away is good pizza, mexican, seafood, etc. Bike rentals are available. The beach is mostly younger people but everyone will feel comfortable and safe. Lifeguards keep the beach well run. It was a short drive to all the San Diego attractions - SeaWorld, Balboa Park Museums, Belmont Park. Scripps Aquarium. I recommend getting the Go San Diego card. Costco gives you an extra day for free. If you visit Legoland I left a souvenir cup you can get $1 refills, and I recommend buying the same at SeaWorld."

  • Great location and amenities!

"We're a family of five with three small boys, and almost passed on this cottage due to concerns that it might not be big enough, but are so happy we booked it. Being so close to both the beach and the bay made our trip. If we were getting too beat up by the waves at the beach we'd make the two-minute walk to the bay (which is a paddleboarder's dream). Corey was super-responsive and provided everything our family needed for our vacation. There are boogie boards, beach toys and towels, chairs, etc. I think the best were the bikes he keeps at the house; cruising along the beach was a highlight of our trip. And, if there's anything else you might want you can rent it from the shop right across the street. There's also a blow up matress and a pack-and-play, so each of us had planty of space to sleep. One other concern we had based on previous reviews was its location right on Mission Blvd. And while it can get a bit noisy (especially on weekends), it wasn't anything dramatic or that ear plugs couldn't solve (we didn't use them and slept just fine). Finally, having dedicated parking in back of the house was HUGE. We had no idea what a mess parking can be, so to not have to worry about that was worth staying here in and of itself. If we ever come back we'll stay here in a heartbeat."

  • Great Location, very clean!

"The location of this condo is perfect, it's right on the beach, and right in the middle of all the action. All the popular restaurants/bars are within walking distance. PB shore club (my favorite bar) is a three minute walk away. The condo has been updated, nice granite countertops in the kitchen, and tile in the master bath, plus updated wood floors throughout the living area. The condo was very clean, and had ocean views from the dinning room, living room, balcony, and the bedroom. The master bedroom is very spacious, and the master bath is also very large, updated, and has a walk in closet. The spare bedroom has two single beds, and a very small bathroom/shower. The condo was stocked with everything you need: pots, pans, dishes, toaster, coffee maker, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, etc. The furniture in the living room was very comfortable, and had a nice large HD flat screen television. I definitely recommend this place, and my wife and I plan on coming back in the near future. The only negatives I can think of are: 1. This condo has the worlds slowest elevator (take the stairs). 2. There is no exhaust fan in the kitchen for when you cook. 3. It can be noisy on the weekends."
