  • Cottonwood Casita is a charming, immaculate, comfortable & perfectly planned "Home Away From Home"!

"We had a relaxing, wonderfully enjoyable stay! Peggy & Tom were the perfect hosts! Their attention to detail in Cottonwood Casita, location next to the park, close to the beach and town, made it our favorite local rental yet! We visit the area each year and long for a home base that truly makes us feel we live here during our stay! Well now we have found it! From the tree swing to the yoga room and private outdoor space in a lovely neighborhood, we couldn't ask for anything more! Just the right distance for an easy morning walk to Moonlight Beach, watch some volleyball, stroll the beach, breathe in the fresh air and sunshine! ( Or stop in town for breakfast at Honey's when too lazy to cook!) The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals easily. The clean, beautiful decor and super comfortable king bed make it so inviting. We will be back next year!"

  • A Great Place to Stay

"We stayed in this cottage for five nights with a two year old and had a great time. This is a homey cottage. It feels more like staying with friends or family than a rental unit. I’ve included a few notes about the layout of the unit that aren’t easy to determine from the photos. When you walk in the front door, you walk into one of the bedrooms. This is the room that has the door that can be closed to separate it from the rest of the unit. There is lots of clothes storage in this room. The washer and dryer are also located there. From the first bedroom you walk into the second bedroom. This room adjoins the kitchen. There is lots of storage in this room as well. There is a tiny little couch in this room that two people could squeeze onto (it's not designed for lounging). There is a step up to the kitchen from the bedroom. The kitchen is a fairly big space but the kitchenette is tiny. There is not a whole lot of storage space for food. There is a dorm fridge with a little freezer (wide enough for a pizza box and we fit a couple of little cartons of ice cream and some frozen veggies in there as well). The sink is bar sized so a bit challenging for washing dishes. We did manage to cook simple meals there. The bathroom is off of the kitchen. It has a lovely shower with beautiful green tiles. The back door opens up onto the patio which has a nice water feature. The garden is a great place to relax. There were beach toys in the unit that we took down to Moonlight Beach which is lovely and great for kids. There is lots of parking there and a great playground. Swami’s Beach is also beautiful. It is a 15-20 minute walk down a steep hill and there are lots of stairs to get down to the beach (it’s not stroller friendly). Vons is the nearby grocery store. It is in walking distance but pretty pricey. Whole Foods is also fairly close by. Carol and Tony were very nice! We enjoyed our stay in Encinitas."

  • Lovely home to enjoy Encinitas

"My husband and I were relocating to Encinitas and needed a long term rental. The home has all the amenities you could need for a short or long term stay. Cookware, charming dinnerware, grill etc. There is a lovely fountain in the front courtyard that was great background noise throughout the day. The location is perfect. It's only a few minutes to downtown Encinitas, the Sunday Farmers Market, Moonlight Beach, San Diego Botanical Gardens and the I5 if you need to head into San Diego or go to Carslbad. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable home in Encinitas."
