  • WOW! What an amazing place!

"I couldn't have asked for a more delightful place to retreat! This house is exquisite inside and out. The cabin is rustic with all the posh amenities one could ask for. The rooms are decorated with great detail. It was fun to explore the house and discover each room's theme. We had a wonderful time sitting on the upper deck drinking our morning coffee while looking out over the beautiful valley below. We heard so many birds and were visited daily by the Turkey Troupe. Wonderful experience. Thank you so much for the lovely time. #BurgioBungalow"

  • The property was clean and picture perfect.

"My boyfriend and I just return from our weekend get away at Cathleen's Cottage and the cottage was exactly how we expected it would be. After reading all the nice reviews and seeing the pictures we couldn't wait to start our get away. When we arrived it was absolutely charming. The cottage came with just about everything you needed from all the kitchen and cooking utensils to grilling on the deck and then some. The place was so calm and quite. The decor was welcoming and comfortable and the surrounding outside was beautiful. On our first night we went to a beautiful look out spot where one of the neighbors had recommended and we were in awww. The second night we went back at sunset and my boyfriend proposed to me. We will definitely be coming back. If you're looking to get away, but not too far away, Cathleen's Cottage is the place to go. Nada's direction were easy to follow and she was quick to respond to our questions. We will definitely be going back."

  • Great Location

"My wife and I had a very relaxing weekend up in Julian. The house was very well stocked with all the things you would need. The home was very clean and neat. The lot had around 40 trees, oak and pine, which gave off a lot of shade. We saw deer every day and wild turkeys. The blue jays were pure blue, so beautiful. There was plenty of room to park off the street. The state park next door had several hiking trails that were well marked and easy for a family. Very clean park with a playground and lots of camping spots. The deck was wonderful, two padded chairs, a patio table and four chairs to have dinner on. Nice view from the deck. The home was 4 miles from Julian, an easy drive. Went to town and checked out the shops, along with a thousand other folks, enjoying the beautiful weather and apple pies. As soon as we left the town, it felt like you were out in the country, which we were, so peaceful and quiet. Looking forward to going back in the winter months. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us and others."

  • Rustic and quiet

"My wife and I brought my teenage son and four of his friends for a weekend and they loved it. They spent most of the time outside exploring and enjoying the great natural Outdoors. I grew up in a log cabin in Upstate New York so it brought back many fond memories of my childhood. The boys quickly figured out how to use the TV set up so that we could watch movies and the barbecue was great for cooking some tri-tips we had on Saturday night. This is truly a rustic cabin experience but one I would highly recommend for anyone who wants some peace and quiet in the woods."
