  • Jewel Condo in the Heart of La Jolla

"My wife and I are frequent VRBO renters and visit La Jolla every year. This unit is a gem, particularly because the owner is in the business of property rentals and understands the renters needs. She also lives close by in La Jolla and takes a hands on approach to managing her properties. From the designer decor to the generously stocked kitchen and bathrooms to the sun and sand equipment, this condo has it all. Hardwood floors, granite countertops, SS appliances, Weber Pro BBQ, great beds, sheets, pillows, power blinds ....... Did we also mention it was spotless when we arrived. The only small issue we could think of that was not perfect is the sound of foot traffic from the upstairs unit. The owner has taken significant steps to reduce the noise, but the building construction is the root cause and while it did not really bother us, we thought we could mention it. Solution, if you think it is an issue-rent the upstairs identical unit. Parking is free in a designated spot in the alley behind, but parking on the street is not a problem. Another comment is the back patio and BBQ is shared with the upstairs unit, however, there are several areas to relax and lots of seating. We will stay in one of Lisa's units next trip. Not looking anywhere else. Tips: Easy 5 minute walk to Windansea beach. Easy 15 minute walk to downtown La Jolla or Bird Rock. Our fav restaurants: Cafe Milano, Lupi, Whiskanladle, Promiscuous Fork."

  • Great Stay!

"We had a fantastic time at the rental over Memorial Day weekend. We did things in the village but it was a quick jump down to the city too. It was so comfortable and homey-there were 5 adults and plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and baking items. We used the grill outside and the gazebo. The apartment was very clean--another review mentioned spots on the glasses but that was just from no rinse aid in the dishwasher so I bought some and they came out fine. My husband went to a nearby coffee shop and then down to the beach each morning--heavenly! Owner was great to work with and we highly recommend this property."

  • Very Good Vacation Get-Away

"The overall experience was very good. We loved the location and the livability of the house. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. We really loved our week there. Access to fun places in La Jolla and Pacific Beach was great. Additional comments/suggestions: 1. We had trouble with the Wi-Fi throughout the stay. Sharon was very concerned and helpful, but the connection was intermittent. 2. The TV was nice but very difficult to turn on. There were multiple remotes and no instructions. 3. For enhanced appearances and enjoyment, we suggest that the patio table be painted and all the patio furniture be stained. Some nice "Sunbrello" cushions would look great, but those are pricy. We would definitely consider staying here again, and we have recommended this property to friends and relatives. Rob & Mo"

  • Can't beat the view

"From the second you walk in the door, you will see the most spectacular view! This house is a great accommodation for large groups - plenty of space to move around and the floor plan is well laid out, allowing for plenty of light and scenic views. The kitchen is very well equipped with seating at the bar, and a breakfast table located next to one of the many balconies. Good for kids being that it's at the end of a quiet a cul-de-sac. Highlights include hot tub on large patio - great for entertaining; proximity to beach and restaurants/coffee shops, stunning walks around the neighborhood and the best view of the ocean upon entry. Some of the balcony and stair railings could be secured better, so keep that in mind for young children and/or the elderly. I'm hopeful the (very!) friendly owners will be able to address that soon so that there's no need for concern at this otherwise wonderful rental home. La Jolla is amazing!"
