  • Great location and beautiful home

"This house is beautifully furnished and the location is spectacular. It is right on the beach in La Jolla Shores. The large picture windows in the den and kitchen offer an unbelievable view of the beach and ocean. This is my second stay and I hope to return. The area has so much to offer; however, you may not want to leave. The house is stocked with anything you might need: beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, surf boards, paddle boards, wet suits and more! The kitchen, too, is well stocked and has everything you might need. The house has a very large patio area with a hot tub overlooking the beach. It also has a side patio that is lovely and very private. It's a great place to sit out with a cup of coffee and watch the hummingbirds flit around. The main part of the house has three bedrooms and two baths. The bath that is shared by two bedrooms does not have a shower. It has a large tub with a handheld shower. That is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. The fourth bedroom is actually a suite with a separated sitting area and a private bath. It is located under the main house and is only accessible from the outside. I think it has a sofa sleeper. It definitely has a fabulous view over the beachfront patio straight to the ocean. I can't say enough about the place. The owner was very easy to deal with. I highly recommend staying here."

  • Great property in La Jolla!

"This 2 bdrm condo is in a very nice location. It is a very short block away from the ocean, about a 20-25 min walk from town and shopping, 20-25 min walk to red rock coffee shop(the best coffee) and 5-10 min walk from a good take out(promiscuous fork). We hardly drove anywhere except to explore furthur afield, i.e. San diego, La Jolla shores, UCSB, and the Torrey Pines reserve where there was some wonderful hiking and spectacular views. The owner of the condo and property manager were both available by phone if needed. Michael, the property manager had left me a message to inform me that the condo was ready early and we could move in before the arranged arrival time. He also checked in with us to make sure everything was fine at the beginning of our stay. When i did call Michael with a question, he returned my call promptly and it was a pleasure having such an attentive person to deal with. Karl the owner was also available if needed---- and I appreciated his returning the damage deposit the next day. There are times when I have stayed at other vrbo's and have had to enquire about the refund after a few weeks have passed and I have heard nothing from the owner. The condo is as portrayed, two bedrooms each with its own washroom. Beds are comfortable, condo is clean and nicely presented. There are bikes in the garage for use as well as laundry facilities. Although we had 3-4 days of rain during our stay, we were cozy in the condo and when it did clear for a while, we would go down to the water to watch the surf and beautiful sunsets. There is a lovely view of the water while sitting on the balcony too. Unfortunately, the weather was not too cooperative and we did not get to use the lovely private patio which is accessed from both bedrooms. This is where the bbq and patio table are--and if it had been warmer, it would be a great spot for a glass of wine, book, dinner etc. We would definitely return to this property but maybe not the first week of January."

  • Great location, airy, spacious, bright, comfortable, and cozy.

"Terrie is a wonderful host. She seems to have thought of everything. She is very nice, welcoming and helpful. The apt has a beautiful terrace with a bbq that we enjoyed often. And the garage is stocked with all the details you might need while travelling with kids: beach chairs, bodyboards, sand toys, coolers and even a very comfotable cart which helped us carry all that stuff to and from the beach. I've rented out many places before. The combination of great location, cozy comfort and great host make this one my best experience yet. I would not hesitate to recommend it and I will surely return."

  • Favorite Beach Vacation Ever.

"Think details. Everything you think you need seems to appear in front of you. Kitchen, Bath, Bedroom all seem to have the products and special touches that make us so well cared for. Cute, cozy, open and bright. Favorite daily activity: walking 2 blocks to the beach to toast the sunset with all the locals. The sunny weather allowed for lots of local walking and there are dozens of beaches and attractions within a short drive. Other favorite suggestions from the owner: Birk Aquarium, Farmers Market, Surf scene, boardwalk, Great restaurants. SO bummed to miss the WWII museum. Not the typical rental. Truly homey and sweet. Can't wait to go back!"
