  • Jewel Condo in the Heart of La Jolla

"My wife and I are frequent VRBO renters and visit La Jolla every year. This unit is a gem, particularly because the owner is in the business of property rentals and understands the renters needs. She also lives close by in La Jolla and takes a hands on approach to managing her properties. From the designer decor to the generously stocked kitchen and bathrooms to the sun and sand equipment, this condo has it all. Hardwood floors, granite countertops, SS appliances, Weber Pro BBQ, great beds, sheets, pillows, power blinds ....... Did we also mention it was spotless when we arrived. The only small issue we could think of that was not perfect is the sound of foot traffic from the upstairs unit. The owner has taken significant steps to reduce the noise, but the building construction is the root cause and while it did not really bother us, we thought we could mention it. Solution, if you think it is an issue-rent the upstairs identical unit. Parking is free in a designated spot in the alley behind, but parking on the street is not a problem. Another comment is the back patio and BBQ is shared with the upstairs unit, however, there are several areas to relax and lots of seating. We will stay in one of Lisa's units next trip. Not looking anywhere else. Tips: Easy 5 minute walk to Windansea beach. Easy 15 minute walk to downtown La Jolla or Bird Rock. Our fav restaurants: Cafe Milano, Lupi, Whiskanladle, Promiscuous Fork."

  • Great location, airy, spacious, bright, comfortable, and cozy.

"Terrie is a wonderful host. She seems to have thought of everything. She is very nice, welcoming and helpful. The apt has a beautiful terrace with a bbq that we enjoyed often. And the garage is stocked with all the details you might need while travelling with kids: beach chairs, bodyboards, sand toys, coolers and even a very comfotable cart which helped us carry all that stuff to and from the beach. I've rented out many places before. The combination of great location, cozy comfort and great host make this one my best experience yet. I would not hesitate to recommend it and I will surely return."

  • Perfect place to stay in La Jolla

"The cottage was perfect! Our host was amazing as well. She even dropped off fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden. The cottage was very comfortable, safe, clean and centrally located. Just a couple of blocks from one of the most beautiful beaches in La Jolla. I highly recommend this property."

  • Great family vacation spot!

"My family and I stayed here in July 2016. Our party included four adults and two kids (ages 4 & 8) and the house was the perfect size for us. House: It was exactly as pictured/described. Very clean and well-stocked. Only downside was a very small TV in the main living room (we like to watch movies at night) but who really "needs" TV on vacation! The property manager is accessible but discreet. After the check in, she is available as your request. She lives just behind the property and our kids had a great time inviting her dog over to play ball in the backyard. The backyard has great shade and space for relaxing or grilling. Beach: Very close proximity to Windansea Beach, which is a great place for laying out and watching the surfers. It is not ideal for small kids, but the house is also an easy drive over to La Jolla Shores which was a perfect beach for kids, shallow, calm water and a great playground. The house provides everything you need for beach going: towels, chairs, umbrellas. Sightseeing: La Jolla is a great place to center yourself for sightseeing. It is an easy drive to all of the San Diego spots. We found ourselves in the light traffic direction wherever we went. La Jolla itself has lots to do and see as well. Restaurants: the house is walking distance from several great restaurants. Try the Promiscuous Fork! Other favorites in La Jolla are the Taco Stand, La Jolla Pizza, and El Pescador. We would absolutely stay at this location again and hope to return in the near future!"
