  • The lure of the ocean….

"What a wonderful house! The location is just magnificent. With a hectic schedule of Legoland and all things kid related, this house was a wonderful respite at the end of a busy day. Morning coffee on the balcony to watch the daily rituals of the locals - surfing, dog walking, jogging, strolling. A glass of wine to salute the sunsets. It was divine. We ventured down to the nearby beach that was so intimate, yet groovy. This part of La Jolla is so chilled that you couldn't help but melt into relaxation the moment you stepped foot inside the house. The house itself is large and with our party of six, we had plenty of room to retreat to peace and quiet. The house is well appointed, clean and nicely styled. But, above all else - the Bluewater Vacation Homes Team are responsive, friendly and professional. It was a seamless stay from top to bottom. And…La Jolla made an indelible mark on us all. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!"

  • Honeymoon at the cottage

"Two years ago we moved out of state, so needless to say we really missed the beach. We decided to go home to get married and just stay out that way for our honeymoon and as close to the ocean as possible. BEST DECISION EVER!! Here's why: LIZA was wonderful, she always emailed me back right away. The only concern we had was check in because its at 3pm and are wedding started at 4pm in Rancho Cucamonga, 2 hours away. Liza told me to contact her a week before and we'll have a plan. That she did, can't tell you what it was for safety reason but just know she will make sure you are taken care of. THE COTTAGE; okay like most people I read the reviews an instantly went in looking for the issues ummm yeah didn't find any, okay maybe one the washcloths. I will agree with that, they really really need an upgrade. Luckily my new husband has issues with using others towels so no matter where we go, we bring our own. So beyond that everything was great. The pictures online does the cottage no justice. It's bigger then we expected, especially the bathroom. Its was clean and cozy. The first day we just stay inside and order in, which was a piece of cake. I think there was a family in the front house, the first two days we were at the cottage because we saw a car in the driveway every so often but it didn't disturb us. We had breakfast outside in the seats. We didn't use the bbq pit cause honestly neither one of us know how. The bed is so comfortable. The skylight above was actually great, to us. One afternoon we wanted to take a nap so we just put on the eye coverings provide in the top drawer. ALLERGIES: so without thinking I booked the place and later was concern about my allergies. Which I'm glad I did or we would've had stayed there out of fear. We brought medicine just in case and turns out I didnt need them. LOCATION: I was being lazy so we would drive by the store and walk around. We went to the art galleries, walk from Vons to the beach, flower shop, clothing stores, restaurants etc. We took pictures of the seals, gather sea shells and headed back to the car, got some groceries and back to the cottage. We went to San Diego zoo and the Westfield outdoor mall, that drive was about 30 minutes. We are not nitpicky people, We wanted a beautiful secluded place, near the beach and shops to enjoy each others time and that's exactly what we got. We already have decided to rent again, most likely on our 1 year anniversary. Thank you Liza!"

  • Great Stay!

"We had a fantastic time at the rental over Memorial Day weekend. We did things in the village but it was a quick jump down to the city too. It was so comfortable and homey-there were 5 adults and plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and baking items. We used the grill outside and the gazebo. The apartment was very clean--another review mentioned spots on the glasses but that was just from no rinse aid in the dishwasher so I bought some and they came out fine. My husband went to a nearby coffee shop and then down to the beach each morning--heavenly! Owner was great to work with and we highly recommend this property."

  • San Diego Family Vacation

"The house was great perfect for us! Neighbor lady next door or next the backyard was completely nuts. Calling the rental company about smoking, complaining on the phone to friends about us barbequeing, and continuous loud crying. Aside from that we had the best time! Cable stopped working, I called Time Warner and was able to get it fixed right away. We took a lyft everywhere and it was reasonable."
