  • Amazing views, nice area, comfortable house.

"The backyard is beautiful and the views are amazing. The hot tub is huge and works great. The house is not fancy, but spacious, comfortable, and clean. There was plenty of room for 8 of us (5 adults and 3 children). Everything worked fine: stove, laundry, TV, fridge, hot tub. The house is in a nice neighborhood with many unique buildings all around. It is close to San Diego attractions (Zoo, Sea World, etc.) I would certainly recommend it. TurnKey, the company that manages the property, is very efficient, but on several occasions representatives gave us incorrect information. For example, before we rented the property, I called to ask a few questions, and was told that the house was already rented (it was not). One day before arrival I emailed TurnKey to ask for early arrival. I received a standard reply stating that this was not possible. I then called TurnKey, and was told that we could have an early arrival. So, make sure to double-check their replies if you don't like them the first time."

  • The Best La Jolla Experience

"This La Jolla property has it all...pool & hot tub, 2 outdoor fire pits, a club house and field, wet & dry sauna, gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, and the list goes on. The house is a 15 minute drive from La Jolla Shores and 15 minute drive from Downtown and the airport. The house can sleep up to 14 people and is tucked away from the main road giving the property a private feel. I highly recommend renting this property to larger groups such as bachelorette/bachelor parties getting away, family reunions, or destination wedding parties. This house is also perfect for the couple that wants to splurge and have their own private experience. It was a great fit for my family trip, especially since we were able to bring our two dogs with us. We had so much fun, and I would come back to stay in a heartbeat! As far as nearby attractions go, there are so many fabulous restaurants all around La Jolla, Del Mar, Downtown, ranging in prices and experiences. I would recommend The Wisk & Laddle and Piati in the village for a nice sit down dinner. I also enjoyed The Cottage and Brockton Villa in the Cove for breakfast/brunch. La Jolla Shores, The Cove, and Children's Beach are the closest and prettiest beaches. I also recommend going to the San Diego Zoo as well as The Birch Aquarium. I would also suggest catching a Padres game at Petco Park. It just won the "stadium with the best experience award" which I credit to the great food and drink options they have there: lots of local brews & eats! The owners were great. They called to make sure we had everything we needed and were settling in when we arrived, and asked about our stay as we left. They were amazing! Loved, loved, loved our experience!"

  • Wonderful property for a get-together with friends

"My girlfriends and I do a girls getaway weekend every year and this was the first time we've used this property. We've done these getaways up and down the California coast and this property was definitely one of the better ones that we've stayed in. The layout of the kitchen is open with a center island which can accommodate a gang of 9 ladies helping each other with cooking. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms. The pool and spa were a big hit. We've previously stayed in houses on the beach but most of us felt having the heated pool and spa were preferable to a wintry beach swim. The neighborhood was quiet and the location is less than a mile from the beach and shops, so it made for nice morning walks down to the coffee shop. The owner, Patrick, is easy to get in touch with and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property and hope to use it again."

  • A great family vacation ...

"We recently had the pleasure of staying in this fabulous house. If you have kids, they will LOVE it. There are endless activities to keep them busy. The house is located in a quiet, upscale community with cute shops and great restaurants, with in walking distance. The beach is a 10 or 15 minute drive, we definitely wanted to be closer but turned out to be fine. The house is beautiful and felt very homey. We loved how the kitchen and family room opened up to a gorgeous outdoor patio. The enormous basement had activities for the kids, a home gym and a sauna that was very popular with everyone. The bedrooms were nice, and all of them had their own bathroom. The master bedroom has a small balcony that has a nice ocean view (pending on the cloud activity). The room was cozy, however the bed was horrible. My husband felt as if he was sliding off every night. It was definitely worn down and slopped. We have a very firm mattress at home so this was a tough adjustment anyway. I also didn't like that there was no where to hang my clothes. I had to use another bedroom closet. Maybe minor but, inconvenient. I would suggest putting a rack in the room for future guests. Overall, my complaints are very minor. This was an amazing house. We had a great time and would definitely go back. Overall I would rate it 4.5 but that was not an option. Anthony met us at the house and gave us an overview on all the necessities. He was very welcoming and available for questions, advice, and recommendations, during our entire stay. We greatly appreciated that."
