  • Excellent location with easy access to La Jolla Village and surrounding areas

"The Spanish Casita in La Jolla was a perfect location for our visit to San Diego. The Casita was walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and coastal area in La Jolla village, and we also walked to La Jolla Shores one afternoon along the coast. We were visiting family in the area, and they were able to stay over one night in the Casita. The accommodations were clean, with a small kitchen that was perfect for our 5-night stay, and a deck that has a gas heater for the cool nights. Prior reviews commented on the traffic noise in the area, but we did not have a problem with this noise. We had an excellent stay in the Casita and would consider this location again the next time we stay in La Jolla."

  • Very nice and well-located

"My two teenage daughters and I stayed here for a 3-night getaway. It was very well located for us. We went to Pacific Beach, Wind and Sea Beach and into the town of La Jolla. Could easily be done with no car if you can walk a mile. Parking also didn't seem to be an issue. The apartment was nicely decorated, was clean and was very functional. Four adult sized people might feel a bit tight. Pull-out couch was not uber-comfy, but was acceptable. We made at least one meal there a day; they had all the necessary kitchen stuff. They also had a bbq, although we couldn't get it lit (may want to add some matches or grill lighter). Really helpful - they had beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas for use."

  • Great Property for Multi-Family Vacation

"This property is excellent for several families to vacation together and still have their own privacy. It was perfect for us, our children & spouces and our 9 grandchildren. The house is equipped with everything you might need. There are plenty of games and activities for the kids, including trampoline and playhouse. The yards and pool area are beautiful. The owner lives close by and was quick to fix anything that needed attention. The property is within a mile of the beach. However, it has a lot of fragile furniture and other items that can be easily broken. If you have small children, they will have to be watched very carefully or another property might be more suitable. Also, it is an older property and some things did not work properly. The pool heater did not work, although the owner tried very hard to fix it and did get the spa working so we could use it. The home heating system also did not work very well - some rooms were too hot and some were too cold. However, overall, it worked out well for our family vacation and created great memories."

  • Unbelievable

"Just brought the wife and kids and spent an incredible week. I mean, I know the pictures make it look close to the beach, but this house is REALLY close to the beach. Woke up every morning, made a coffee and walked along what turns out to be a beautiful beach. The house was clean, very nicely appointed, easy to access and had everything we needed (boogie boards etc) for an incredible La Jolla beach trip. We WILL be staying here again. What a great trip!"
