  • Beautiful view and great place for families!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tree Top Casita. The view was gorgeous and so wonderful to wake up to every morning. The space was more than accommodating for our family and everyone had their own bathroom. They also provided everything you could need for the beach including boogie boards, beach towels, sand toys, cooler bags, etc. My only complaint would be that the oven was very small if you are planning on doing family style meals that require the oven and we did see some ants regularly in the Master bedroom/bathroom, but all very minimal in comparison with the benefits of the location and beauty of the place."

  • Thanksgiving holiday

"LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! Our family of four spent Thanksgiving holiday here. It was amazing. The condo was within walking distance of beaches, restaurants, shopping, plus there was a parking space in the garage. The view of the coast from the front windows was spectacular. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has new appliances and is equipped with everything you need. We felt very much at home here. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We would recommend this condo highly."

  • Great property in La Jolla!

"This 2 bdrm condo is in a very nice location. It is a very short block away from the ocean, about a 20-25 min walk from town and shopping, 20-25 min walk to red rock coffee shop(the best coffee) and 5-10 min walk from a good take out(promiscuous fork). We hardly drove anywhere except to explore furthur afield, i.e. San diego, La Jolla shores, UCSB, and the Torrey Pines reserve where there was some wonderful hiking and spectacular views. The owner of the condo and property manager were both available by phone if needed. Michael, the property manager had left me a message to inform me that the condo was ready early and we could move in before the arranged arrival time. He also checked in with us to make sure everything was fine at the beginning of our stay. When i did call Michael with a question, he returned my call promptly and it was a pleasure having such an attentive person to deal with. Karl the owner was also available if needed---- and I appreciated his returning the damage deposit the next day. There are times when I have stayed at other vrbo's and have had to enquire about the refund after a few weeks have passed and I have heard nothing from the owner. The condo is as portrayed, two bedrooms each with its own washroom. Beds are comfortable, condo is clean and nicely presented. There are bikes in the garage for use as well as laundry facilities. Although we had 3-4 days of rain during our stay, we were cozy in the condo and when it did clear for a while, we would go down to the water to watch the surf and beautiful sunsets. There is a lovely view of the water while sitting on the balcony too. Unfortunately, the weather was not too cooperative and we did not get to use the lovely private patio which is accessed from both bedrooms. This is where the bbq and patio table are--and if it had been warmer, it would be a great spot for a glass of wine, book, dinner etc. We would definitely return to this property but maybe not the first week of January."

  • Excellent location with easy access to La Jolla Village and surrounding areas

"The Spanish Casita in La Jolla was a perfect location for our visit to San Diego. The Casita was walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and coastal area in La Jolla village, and we also walked to La Jolla Shores one afternoon along the coast. We were visiting family in the area, and they were able to stay over one night in the Casita. The accommodations were clean, with a small kitchen that was perfect for our 5-night stay, and a deck that has a gas heater for the cool nights. Prior reviews commented on the traffic noise in the area, but we did not have a problem with this noise. We had an excellent stay in the Casita and would consider this location again the next time we stay in La Jolla."
