  • Great Value and An Amazing Location

"This is a great house. The location is fantastic. We selected this cottage because it was the least expensive free standing beach rental we could find. This cottage is nearly 100 years old so if you are looking for a new condo experience, this is not the right place for you. Think shabby chic. Tons of good books to read. Responsive owner. The DVD player wasn't working and David was over within an hour with a replacement. I would recommend this cottage and I would stay here again."

  • Surprissed!

"I never wrote any reviews, but decided to do it after coming across the previous review. My wife and I are coming to this property twice a year to see our son who lives in SD and our grandson. We absolutely love and enjoy this wonderful apartment,so conveniently located to get to our son's house. So we are totally shocked and surprised to see that somebody could write such a negative review. Looks like she stayed somewhere else and dealt with different owners. I know Helena's furniture by heart,it is always sparkling clean just like everything in this place. and there is no white chairs! I mean Hello! What else doesn't match, the apartment is in LA Jolla!!! what else do you call this area? ,this is true.it is not on the beach, but it is 10-15 minutes driving. As for Helena, she attends to littlest problem, always available,e-mail or call. And I personally use a cable on TV. May be you need to know how to use it? should have asked. Needless to say, she, always returns a refund properly within a week. What can I say, I am impressed by Helena's gracious answer to this review. Looking foreword to be back soon!"

  • Relaxing on the Cliffs

"It has all been said by previous reviews. We were 6 adults and 4 children (aged between 3 and 8) staying in Mid-February. We had great weather so the front deck was in full use for the magnificent sunsets whilst sipping Sonoma County’s best Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. The descriptions of the house are accurate and it was ideal for families. Our days were walks on the cliffs, beach, lunch out, pool and Jacuzzi (both well heated) with bar-b-ques or cooking indoors for dinner followed by star wars movies. The kids were happy and the adults were very relaxed. The property is very well located for grocery shopping (Vons or Trader Joes) or San Diego’s main attractions. We had the theme parks/zoo etc. in reserve but did not use them as everyone wanted to spend time in the property. Quite often the adults were rooted next to one of the picture windows just gazing at the view – it was mesmerizing! Parking in the back was excellent for 3 cars, especially as the front was very busy with surfers parking. It was easy packing and unpacking cars through the two back gates. The house was well equipped and had the bonus of plenty of beach towels. As Arnold once said “I’ll be back”."

  • Great Place, Really Well Adorned

"I rented this place for a month (Oct 2015) while in San Diego on business. I had selected that area of town as it was close to my work. I feel I got really lucky as this unit was really well located and the furnishings were well above standard grade. The unit is well equipped across the board. The place contains, not the run of the mill basics, but nice grade items and the artwork makes it all come together. A really comfortable place to spend time in San Diego."
