  • Great Family Vacation

"San Diego’s Mission Beach provides a wide range of activities, Basking on the beach; swimming in the Pacific; surfing, paddle boarding, sand castle building, beach volley ball, amusement park, evening bond-fires; restaurants of multiple ethnicities, walking, skating, and biking on the boardwalk These are a few of the many reasons that we have, for many years, been staying there. It is a great favorite of our children, grandchildren, and friends. This ocean front home has it all. It is by far the best beach front rental we have ever had . The property has a laundry, gas barbecue, well appointed kitchen that provides all appliances and cookware required to prepare meals, if that is how you wish to spend your beach time. There is workable Wi-Fi, large screen cable TV, sand chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, pool table, and toys for the children, . There are beds enough, including a spacious master bedroom suite, to comfortably accommodate 9. In an area where vehicle parking spaces are at a premium, a real plus is the five parking spaces at the location. We would definitely recommend to friends, and hope to return in the future."

  • Private and cozy

"We enjoyed our stay so much! A very comfortable and charming property; great location. The owners are so quick to respond and pleasant. We loved the patio and grill perfect for our family of four. Nice breeze off the ocean along with provided fans made for a very comfortable stay. Few steps to the beach, which is so clean and uncrowded, as well as a quick stroll to the bay. A market, coffee cafe, pizza, pub and Sara's Mexican food (yum) are all nearby walking distance. Owners provide boogie boards and beach towels and chairs, which was convenient so less for us to pack. We will check this place first for our next visit to Mission Beach, everything was perfect."

  • Perfect

"We stayed over the long Labor Day weekend. The place was very clean and had everything - and more - than we needed. I cannot say enough about the location and the view. There is nothing like having your morning coffee watching the waves and then, after a day at the beach, watching the sunset. If you are not into staying in - many activities and restaurants just a quick walk away. The owner is very attentive and quick to get back to you with any questions. I definitely will come back again."

  • Great location and amenities!

"We're a family of five with three small boys, and almost passed on this cottage due to concerns that it might not be big enough, but are so happy we booked it. Being so close to both the beach and the bay made our trip. If we were getting too beat up by the waves at the beach we'd make the two-minute walk to the bay (which is a paddleboarder's dream). Corey was super-responsive and provided everything our family needed for our vacation. There are boogie boards, beach toys and towels, chairs, etc. I think the best were the bikes he keeps at the house; cruising along the beach was a highlight of our trip. And, if there's anything else you might want you can rent it from the shop right across the street. There's also a blow up matress and a pack-and-play, so each of us had planty of space to sleep. One other concern we had based on previous reviews was its location right on Mission Blvd. And while it can get a bit noisy (especially on weekends), it wasn't anything dramatic or that ear plugs couldn't solve (we didn't use them and slept just fine). Finally, having dedicated parking in back of the house was HUGE. We had no idea what a mess parking can be, so to not have to worry about that was worth staying here in and of itself. If we ever come back we'll stay here in a heartbeat."
