  • Amazing as usual

"Once again the Wyndham never disappoints us. We had a Deluxe ocean front view and we were in heaven. Our kids think of this place as their second home. Everyone enjoys the local restaurants Colimas Mexican food , Harbor fish and chips and of course ice cream at Coldstone. Thank you for making our vacation so easy and fun. Sara"

  • Perfect

"Our 4 day stay at the Wyndham Oceanside Pier was perfect. We had a 2 bedroom condo with a completely stocked kitchen. The unit was clean. The staff (ALL OF THEM) was friendly, helpful, and courteous. The view was gorgeous and the location was great. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Best place in Oceanside!!!

"The best vacation my family ever went on! David Holbrook was very great to rent from. I would definitely rent from him again. The place is in the best location in Oceanside. One block to the pier and the beach. One block to downtown. Great views from the condo, step out on balcony and you’re looking at the ocean and the pier. You ‘re so close to the ocean you can hear the waves crashing on the beach. There are a lot of actives to do in Oceanside. They had a farmers market on Thursday morning and hundreds of food vendors and live music Thursday night. If you are looking to visit the beach this is where you want to stay!!! Thank you David for a great vacation."

  • Southern California Beach Paradise

"Our family of four (twin teen boys & Mom & Dad) had an awesome time in the Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort. We had a great 2BR suite on the 6th floor with a northern view that included the beach. The resort is very close to the beach (right across the street) and the beach is gorgeous - no sea wrack, very wide, clean sand. The resort is right beside the long fishing pier (poles for rent and bait for sale on the pier!) and on either side of the pier the waves are perfect for surfing (our sons got their first surfing lessons). The suite was very spacious, with a large living room, a great booth and chair type eating area, two great bedrooms & bathrooms, a well appointed kitchen, and a balcony. The washer and dryer were very heavily used during our two week stay and allowed us to pack less! We typically cooked breakfast in the suite and headed out to the beach or other activities - if we went to the beach we usually prepared lunch in the suite and then went out for dinner - this really reduced food costs. There are lots of great eating choices within walking distance - Petite Madeline, Hello Betty, ZigZag Pizza and 333 were all very close and are recommended - and about a 15-20 minute walk north along the beach there is also a cluster of restaurants - Oceanside Broiler had great food and a nice view of the small boat harbor, Joe's Crab Shack had great inexpensive family seafood (warning - if you elect to buy a picture pay CASH). The resort itself is clean, modern and has a very friendly staff - there are activities daily - examples include a $5 breakfast, afternoon ice cream sundae parties, evening Italian dinner, and mosaic making - a nice way to meet others. There is a pool - not huge but fine for kids - and a great deck area to relax after visiting the beach (there are showers in the 2nd floor restroom to wash off the sand). A really nice feature is that there are two suites reserved for general use on the 7th floor facing the ocean - was a great spot to sit with a bottle of wine and watch the sunset. The fact that this is a Wyndham property instead of a house rental really takes a lot of the uncertainty away from booking a VRBO - you can confirm your reservation with the resort, you are dealing with a major corporation, and any issues are just a phone call away and usually resolved within the hour. Nearby there are lots of recreation opportunities - just south on I-5 there is a great watersports area called Carlsbad Lagoon (jet ski's = fun). Enjoy!"
