  • Annual Family Beach vacation

"My daughter and i meet with my childhood friend and her family - almost three generations!- at this condo compound just a few steps from the sand. The location is ideal, as there is something for everyone with the beach, boardwalk, Belmont park all so near. The condo is upstairs, clean and well appointed. There are bikes and chairs and towels. A big table on the deck for family meals and a grill. We look forward to returning next July!"

  • Beautiful Cottage in Ideal Location

"We stayed for 5 nights with our two college-age boys and their girlfriends. The home is beautifully decorated and the location is in a quite neighborhood. Down the street two blocks (about a 2 min walk) are many good restaurants and coffee shops (both casual & fine dining). We enjoyed Shorehouse Kitchen for breakfast on several days. There are a number of nice outdoor cafes that are open late. The walk to the beach is another three blocks away. We walked to the beach every day we stayed. The rental house is located behind the owner's residence. There is a private walkway back to the house. Tall fences between the two homes help give the rental a very private feeling. There is a nice patio off the master and another patio with an outdoor table and BBQ. The interior of the home is very comfortable with new contemporary furnishings that provide a welcoming "beach cottage" feeling. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The house is air conditioned. The spacing of the bedrooms rooms gave everyone privacy. Although the home is not large, the layout worked very well for all of us and we never felt crowded. The two bathrooms each have a shower. Bring your own soap & shampoo. There were boogie boards and beach toys available to borrow, a small cart to haul toys to the beach, and plenty of beach towels available for use. A washer and dryer was handy for laundry. There is onsite parking for one vehicle, although we found that it was just as easy to park on the street. The La Jolla Shores beach is ideal, as it has long gentle rolling waves that make it easy to boogie board. The beach is long and not terribly crowded. There are many kayak and surfing vendors within walking distance if you choose to try that out. We made several trips to the La Jolla village area, which has a lot of high end shopping, restaurants, and the famous La Jolla Cove. The village is only 2-3 minutes away by car, but one could walk or bike there too. All in all, we had a great stay and were very pleased to have found this home."

  • Fantastic Location. Great home with Private Pool.

"Great location adjacent to Old Town with easy access to get anywhere. Beautiful, nicely appointed home. Well maintained. Amazing entertainment area/pool. The view of downtown from the rooftop balcony is amazing. 3 Generation Group of 14 ranging from infant to adults. Plenty of room. The pool was a hit with all. Kitchen well stocked. Would not hesitate to rent again when in San Diego with the family"

  • Great beach house; Ground level of a building on the bay in an amazing location!

"The house definitely can fit 8 guests comfortably. There were three of us and I can't tell you enough how much comfortable room there is in this amazing house. The house is filled with tons of beach towels, beach mats/toys, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, bath towels, a stocked kitchen for anything you need to cook, grill, tons of books, movies, and even boardgames to play. It's on the ground floor of the building (note: there were many tiny ants on the tile area in the kitchen, doorway, hallway leading to the bedrooms) so it can get a bit loud but nothing too bothersome. The beds are super comfortable and gave us well rested nights. Note, the other guests in the building that are taking the elevator up and down floors can be noisy, especially super late at night because the front door of the unit is directly next to the elevator. The front door definitely needs to be replaced; there is a bit of a gap where the door should be sealed shut, so that could be the reason for the noisiness and the lock/door handle should also be replaced (it was a bit loose). Garbage truck in the area was loud & welcoming at 5:50am on Saturday, but luckily we were two hours earlier than our usual timezone, so it was for sure no big deal. The grill/patio area is incredible and we hosted a fun bbq with some friends in the area. The bay is peaceful; wonderful for morning jogs and there is a ton of activities (jetpack, kayak, paddleboard, boat rental) about a three minute walk towards the bay area. The Mission Beach area is ideal and our favorite to stay in around the SD area. Every other town is 15 minute drive away. Walking distance to PB and numerous restaurants/bars/cafes/shops/etc. everything you can possibly think of. We loved this house (the area so very much) and would rent it again. Note; There was a bit of a mixup with the management company getting us to the right address/lockbox code and it caused a bit of a panic at 10pm on a Friday night trying to get a hold of someone, but as a renter, you should just be proactive and make sure you have the information you need to ensure your stay is worry free!"
