  • Great location, tons of room!

"We visited San Diego for a large family gathering/vacation. The amount of space in the house was perfect, easy to move around without tripping over each other. The back yard space was great too…pool, lots of seating, a grill we used, lovely foliage, very relaxing. The location provide easy access to everything you could possibly need. Scott and Jeanette were very helpful, we called twice with questions and they responded right away."

  • Pristine, Adorable Tiny House

"My husband and I are in our mid 50's traveling to California for our nephew's wedding. This was the perfect tiny house for our 5 day San Diego trip. Everything was exactly as described.....even the wine and terrific cookies. We were particularly impressed with how clean and updated the property was. It is tiny, but provided everything you need at a value price for up to two people. Be aware that if you are from the Midwest, as we are, you will have to get used to parking in San Diego. When we first saw that off street parking can be crowded at times, we were a little concerned. By the end of the first day, we realized that parking is a challenge everywhere you go in San Diego. It just goes with the territory. We managed to get on street parking within a block of the property every day. Most days it was just a few feet away. This is a minor inconvenience compared to all the advantages this rental has to offer. Also, if you are a cable TV junkie, better bring your Roku. They offer only basic local antenna TV plus WiFi ....no cable. This wasn't much of an issue since we were constantly on the go and just used it for local weather while we were getting ready in the AM. There's just so much to see and do in San Diego, there was no time for hanging out in front of the tube. One thing we really enjoyed was the central location. University Heights is very centrally located, close to the zoo, Balboa Park and the airport. We were just a short drive from Old Town and Little Italy. The owners provided a great book of local attractions, maps and restaurants plus they provide an assortment of trial size toiletries, an iron and a blow dryer. We found the owners to be very responsive, just a quick text and any questions we had were quickly answered. The kitchen had all the basic necessities for reheating leftovers or making a simple breakfast. One final thing to consider about this booking is what a great value you get for the price. Lots of listings offer a low price, but when you factor in the added cleaning costs, you really are paying much more than you expect. This place only has a $20 cleaning fee. Plus there is a washer and dryer available just outside the door if you need to do a quick load. If you want to save a ton of money, but still stay in a clean, quiet central location, this is your best bet. Plus you get a taste of tiny house living. We will book there again on our next trip out."

  • Great place

"Great place for what we were looking for. Comfortable and clean. Nice backyard with pool and hot tub. We were able to have our friends over for a nice gathering. Private and nice neighbors as well. The house had everything and more that we expected."

  • Great house in a great location to explore what San Diego has to offer.

"We stayed at this lovely home in October. Everything was as advertised. The Kitchen was well equipped with anything you might need, the wifi worked throughout the house and the neighborhood was great for walking with many restaurants and shops near by. It is close to 30th st. which is one of the hearts of the San Diego Craft beer scene and minutes from the Zoo and Balboa park. Linda was great to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. The dedicated parking spaces in the back (accessed by the alley) was very convenient as street parking can be at a premium with the nearby apartments. The place is quiet, clean and comfortable and we highly recommend it."
