  • Perfect family place for a California home away from home dreamy get-a-way!

"WOW! Can't even describe how much we enjoyed this place! This was the first time we had ever reserved a place online and I was so nervous it wouldn't be what we imagined. It was WAY better! The pictures do not do it justice! Loved everything about our 8 day stay there except having to leave, LOL! The condo manager was a doll! She met us at the gate, gave us our keys and showed us around. We told her our kids had never seen the ocean so she led us to the water which is a beautiful short walk away. We were blown away by the beauty of the beach and the view is incredible! There are benches on the bluff area which is beautifully landscaped and tiled and you can sit there all day spotting dolphins and watching the waves crash. There was hardly anyone else around. So peaceful and quite! The hot tub and pool were a huge bonus. The way the parking garage is set up is so nice. You pull in to your spot and walk up a small stair case and your front door is right there. The condo itself is four levels. You walk into the main level with a cozy sectional, a fireplace and a little play area that even has toys. Downstairs has two nice rooms with huge closets and two full baths! Upstairs is the kitchen with a balcony, a large dining room and a washer and dryer, so convenient! Up one more level to the crazy huge master that has a balcony overlooking the tennis court and other condos, there's a couch in there that folds out and a huge nice bathroom. There are sheets and towels in closets everywhere and the kitchen has every item you could ever need. Totally home away from home! We spent time every day walking the beach, collecting shells and just taking in the beauty of the ocean view just a short walk away. Grocery stores and plenty of restaurants nearby and we rented wet suits for the kids to swim at the surf shop around the corner. The t.v. in the living room is gigantic and the kids enjoyed a movie every night before bed on the big fold out sectional. So cozy. We were amazed at how quite the whole area is. So nice for a family. We loved how the highway was just a mile away and you can get to downtown San Diego and most of the main attractions in just 20 minutes or so. We couldn't think of a single thing that needs improving! We can't wait to go back and now we feel like we have a home in California 💗 Thank you so much for memories that we will cherish forever!"

  • Solana Beach Family Getaway

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Chose this unit for our family vacation due to ocean view and proximity to Del Mar Racetrack. View from the balcony and living room was unbelievable. Definitely worth the stay for the view alone. Private beach below was amazing too. And DMTC literally 5 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance also. Perfect location. Only complaint would be the ancient appliances in the unit. They must all be 30 years old. The refrigerator/freezer weren't working properly from the first day we walked in. Wouldn't chill our food properly. Finally had to have it repaired half way through the trip after owner complained about electricity bill being too high. Well of course it's going to be high when you have a 30 year old refrigerator struggling to keep anything cold. Not sure why that was a surprise. Dishwasher too is on its last legs. And washer/dryer need to be constantly monitored and reset during use. Definitely an inconvenience. I would guess none of this would be a major issue for guests staying for only a week or so, who just kept a few beers in the fridge and didn't really use the appliances much. But this was truly a family vacation for us and the appliances were not up to snuff for what we paid and the length of our stay (nearly 2 months). Back to the positives...Patricia and the entire Pacific Coastal Properties staff were very helpful during our stay. Always very courteous while handling the maintenance calls that needed to be placed. Assisted with any special requests we had also. Really appreciate all their care and follow up."

  • Beautiful property

"We had a wonderful stay at Bill's unit in Solana Beach. The complex is well taken care of, with tennis courts, pools, hot tubs, koi ponds, waterfalls. It is located on the bluff and this unit was a 3 minute walk to the walkway along the bluff. At the end of the property there is a set of stairs to the beach. The unit itself was recently renovated and was in pristine condition. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the entry floor and the kitchen, dining area and living room are upstairs. There are two balconies - one overlooking the water (over the roofs of adjoining condos) and one towards the hills. I watched whales and boats from the balcony. Everything we needed was provided in the unit and it was very comfortable. We had a slight issue with the heater but it was fixed promptly. We could walk to downtown and we found fabulous restaurants within walking distance. We recommend Beach Grass cafe for breakfast! We will be back. Thank you Bill!"

  • Everything so close

"Beautiful condo with conscientious management. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The Beach is right across the street and everything else you need is close by. We loved going to the brigantine for taco Tuesday. We had a great time and will be back next year."
