  • Beautiful Home with plenty of space

"We recently had a great stay at this rental. It is a beautiful home, nicely appointed and very well laid out. It is a 10 min walk to Beacon's beach or a 5-10min car ride to Moonlight beach (great for kids). Local restaurants and shopping are all close by foot or car. The owners were very responsive to our requests. The owners request that the AC not be used and while I suppose this is rarely needed due to the local coastal influence for those of us that like a cool home it may be something to consider. Overall a nice rental for the price and location."

  • Great Place

"The property is nice and pretty much has everything you need. The location is prefect and so close to a beautiful quite beach. We had absolutely great time and we would go there again . The only drawback is the owner is dry and slow in his communications... I would have rated the property 5 Stars if it wasn't for that.."

  • Great Family Vacation Home

"This home was a wonderful base for our San Diego vacation. The open layout of the downstairs was great for hanging out and the bedrooms were all nicely sized. The views of the Pacific from both decks were gorgeous and of course our kids loved the game room in the converted garage. All the major attractions (the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, La Jolla cove, etc.) are within a fifteen to twenty minute drive from the house. Drew (the owner) was responsive and very easy to deal with and we would definitely recommend this home to anyone considering a vacation in the San Diego area."

  • Fantastic location and large comfy condo! We highly recommend this property and give it 4.5 stars!

"Pros: The location is fantastic! Outside of the front door of the condo is the West Mission Bay Beach. The deck looks out over the beach and bay. The beach has a wide path (Bayside Walk) that enables a long walk or bike ride around the west bay and connects to the east bay. The wide bay beach has a gentle wave action and families with small children predominate. It is very relaxing. The daily fireworks show from Seaworld can be viewed from the beach or deck. The ocean beach is a 3 blocks walk and is very wide and busy. Beach bathrooms and showers are not close by. A small market and a couple of eateries are just 3 blocks away from the condo and Belmont Park Amusement Park and eateries are 6 blocks. Seaworld is about 2 miles away and the airport is 25 minutes. The condo is large, airy and very comfortable with pleasing décor, washer, dryer, flatscreen TV, large dining table and kitchen. The condo is on the second floor and there are security doors into the building and garage. There are 2 dedicated parking spots in the garage (with a low ceiling clearance). The beds are comfortable. There are a few minor negatives: The wireless is sporadic and only functions in the rear of the condo. The water pressure in the 2 showers is terrible! You will need to stock the condo yourself with bathroom and kitchen consumables, hair dryer and possibly propane, since the tank was empty. The beds stated on the website were not correct. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room, 1 bedroom with a full size bed, one bedroom with a queen bed, and one bedroom with 2 queens. There is a long couch is the living room that can be used as a bed. The owner said that she would update the website. Mission Bay is in the flightpath of the airport. The planes are loud and takeoff begins at 6:30 am. Holiday weeks make for crowded beaches and lots of rowdy drinkers. I would avoid weeks with holidays. There is no air conditioning. You mostly don’t need it due to the ocean breeze. There were a few maintenance and cleaning issues that were brought up with the owner."
