Vacation rentals near San Diego Convention Center

This is a nice apartment with everything we needed. We enjoy staying in the North Park neighborhood, a good central location and very walkable. Bill and Birgit are wonderful hosts and are very welcoming.

The property is just wonderful. The property is very comfortable. My son is in the Navy in San Diego. He wanted some home cooking. I made a casserole. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pots and pans that I needed. The only issue that we had was locating the entrance to the property. The entrance is in alley with a different number on the gate. I received my welcome packet on the day of our arrival. We had been traveling from Upstate NY all day. So we had the Vrbo address. Also, with it being dark outside, it was difficult to recognize the house from the pics that were posted on Vrbo. To be fair the host did mention the alley entrance with the different house number on the gate. After traveling all day , we just found that all very confusing. However, again, after we figured out the entrance, we had no other problems with the property. We enjoyed out stay there and would stay again if with visited San Diego again.

Joan is a great host and her home is a wonderful place to a stay. Great Old Town location yet quite and safe Nice fenced yard for our pup to pee. Kitchen is nicely furnished with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We will definitely stay here again. here on next trip to San Diego

This was the second time we've stayed here. It was just not long enough. Enjoyed the casita thoroughly. And Nancy, we like the new floor in the bedroom. We hope to be back again. Bill and Pauline

The cottage was a perfect choice for us. It had everything we needed to start our days and for the occasional dinner in. I was amazed at how close it was to so many of the things we planned but so quiet for relaxing. We had some rain while visiting so we were glad to have the extra space (as opposed to a hotel room) to entertain ourselves. I was worried about the parking but it was no problem.

Obviously from all other reviews, this property and location are amazing, with beautiful gardens to enjoy, and easy walking to so many fun spots in North Park, South Park, Balboa. Kent was so easy to connect with, and communicated quickly at all times. The house is a perfect size for 2 people. Bed is comfortable and large! The shower has shampoo/conditioner/soap available, it has great hot water and pressure, and lots of fluffy towels to use afterwards. We grilled twice during our stay, and enjoyed the ease of the grill, the relaxing environment of the patio with water feature and pretty pergola over the seating area. It is also great to have washer/dryer available, as we were there for the SD 1/2 marathon and had clothes to clean after running! Kent and his home made for wonderful memories and experiences during our trip. Thanks!

The house is exactly as advertised - cozy, clean, and well appointed. Perfect for the 2 of us for the weekend. Owners provided a binder with lots of shops / restaurants that are close by - very helpful. It's a small bungalow on the same lot as the owners primary residence on a side street in the middle of North Park. North Park is great, lots of charming shops and restaurants in walking distance, plenty of bigger-box retail available if you need it as well, and only a few minutes from downtown SD, Balboa Park, the SD Zoo, and the airport.

This cute cottage was just what we wanted for our weekend in San Diego. The location provides easy access for everything Old Town has to offer, including the Transit Station to access the Trolley. The cottage is a good size for a couple; having a full kitchen is very convenient; and the on-site, off-street parking is a great bonus! We will definitely stay here again on future trips!
