  • A very lovely place to stay in Inverness

"This is a comfortable, cozy rustic home with a big wrap-around deck. All the amenities of a vacation home make it a very nice place for an afternoon/evening gathering, and it has room for eight people to stay over comfortably. Everyone enjoyed hanging out on the large wrap-around deck. There's a long flight of stairs from the road to the house, but cars can drive down a steep driveway to unload and deliver anyone who has trouble walking. In addition to the two bedrooms in the house, there are four beds in the sleeping cabin, two each in two areas but no door between the areas. I'd definitely come back!"

  • Superb location, excellent trip!

"My husband and I stay in Healdsburg at least once a year and got married there three years ago. We chose to come back for our wedding anniversary and Dry Creek Villa was beautiful! What a location, the views were amazing, it was so peaceful and quiet. Bill and Scott were very helpful and responsive, and we had an excellent time. It's perfect for 2 people or 4 (we were supposed to go with another couple who couldn't after the fact) and was equipped enough to make some meals at the house too, which we love to do when we rent! Excellent spot!"

  • Trip of a Lifetime!

"What made the trip so special was that we had 18 people able to stay and congregate on the property. We were there to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. The property is indeed unique and even though the house is a little dated, as much upgrading as possible has been done. Everyone was satisfied with their accommodations. The kitchen was big enough but we probably could have used another refrigerator. Any minor issues we had during the week were handled immediately by Kevin on the phone. He was very helpful. The location to Sonoma and Glen Ellen was perfect. We did take trips to Napa and Healdsburg which were not too far away. Finally, the chef we had cook the birthday celebration dinner was local and knew the property. This helped her prepare so that we had a perfect evening. The weather was a little warmer than usual early in the week and we weren't made aware of an attic fan that might have helped those sleeping upstairs. All in all it met our expectations and I would certainly recommend it to a group that wants an ideal place to get away. Good value."

  • Relaxing birthday weekend

"I booked Sea Myst for 3 nights for my 60th birthday with my wife. The home is rustic yet reasonably comfortable, tidy, well provisioned and tastefully decorated. The hot tub, and heating work well and the master bedroom bed is very comfortable with the hi quality linens making crawling in wonderful. We felt that the Master BR flat screen is too far from the bed for comfortable viewing and could just as easily be mounted in a fold down on the middle beam at the foot of the bed. However there is a huge new screen in the LR. We ended up watching films (good wifi signal only got wacky during the peak of the storm) on the laptop. We arrived on the first really cold rainy weekend, and discovered there was no wood for the fireplace and the top oven was inoperative requiring the birthday cake to go in the lower oven which didn't reach proper heat and took 2 hours to bake coming out like hard biscotti. From talking to the owner upon discovering this, he explained that the kitchen was original 1972 and a remodel was coming. Both would have been important to know going in as our intent was not to move the car once we parked until we left so I didn't drive out to get firewood or find a repairman for the oven. Luckily we brought a bunch of chinese takeout that lasted us the entire time. The second BR in one side of a converted garage and is best suited for responsible children who you won't mind sharing your bathtub with as it only has a half bath adjacent to it. It would be somewhat awkward for two adult couples, I think. Be careful with the locks on the second BR because they could get locked in. That could be a safety hazard if someone can't get out. The location is the best feature of Sea Myst. Walking to the beach and bluffs is at the end of the street and was our main reason for selecting it. The owners have plenty of amenities, rain coats, bikes, games, umbrellas flashlights and extensive library of books. It was fun looking at Scientific American issues from 1964 in the cozy loft. Although the LR couch sectional is new it isn't the kind of piece that was easy to sink into cozily with a book and a beverage for an afternoon. It was hard to feel really comfortable on it. Overall the time went by way too fast. With an updated and fully functional kitchen and attention to the change in the seasons this place would rate five stars."
