  • Charming and peaceful

"We had a wonderful time at this little home in the country. Very private, charming, and peaceful. The roosters crowed every morning at 5am. The beautiful gardens were full of flowers, figs, and tomatoes. Kristine, one of the owners, was lovely and helpful. The rental is attached to the main home, but once you're inside you don't even notice it. The kitchen is equipped enough for making a simple breakfast - half fridge, one burner hot plate, coffee pot, electric kettle, toaster oven, and microwave. Lots of utensils, plates, and cups were available. There is a king bed in the bedroom (too soft for me, but my friend thought it was perfect) and two futons in the living room (our other friend found her futon firm, but that's to be expected). Both friends thought there should have been more towels, but I thought having one bath towel and one washcloth for 3 nights was fine. There was also one hand towel that we all shared. The bathroom is on a septic system. We realized the first morning that you have to allow the shower to drain completely before the toilet will flush again. So, either use the toilet before you shower, or wait about 15-30 minutes after using the shower to use the toilet, and do a test flush before you actually use it. The driveway is gravel, so it's best to back your car up to the home so that you can unload your suitcases more easily. We didn't do this and had to carry our suitcases over the gravel. If you have children, this is a great place because there are a lot of children's toys already there, including a table on which kids can move vehicles around like a little town. Also, they would love the chickens and dog that roam the property. The dog is so sweet! Have fun - it's a really nice place!"

  • Great space to stay in the Noe Valley. Clean, great views, close to everything.

"This was the perfect place to stay for us in San Fransisco. It is close to great restaurants and public transportation. The view from the deck is wonderful at all times of the day. The owner was great to work with. Will definitely stay again when in San Fransisco."

  • Nice home

"We enjoyed our stay. The house is located in a nice neighborhood close to downtown. Obviously, it is an older home so there are creaks and hard to close doors but that just adds to the houses charm. It is kept up and has everything you will need in the kitchen. Please take time to seal the back bedroom window, when the wind blows it rattles making sleeping difficult. We wedged some paper in between the glass and frame to reduce the noise but it needs a more permanent fix. Other than that a very nice place to stay. Thanks for everything."

  • This property was as it looked online. Clean, spacious and welcoming.

"I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the Villa. It was very clean, and bigger than anticipated. The home was very comfortable, backyard very nice and spacious, and the bedrooms upstairs were restful and relaxing. All the bathrooms were big and clean. Added bonus to have a washer and dryer. This home is in a prime location just a few short blocks to the beach which was fabulous. The owners were responsive when I had a bit of trouble with the internet. Overall, I would recommend and stay at the Villa again. Great home, updated, modern and comfortable."
