  • Comfortable Cottage for a Perfect Getaway

"We had two lovely nights here. Peaceful, placid and completely relaxing. The setting is magnificent; literally on Tomales Bay. The cottage is cozy and well appointed. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking even the most substantial meal. If you enjoy birding, you'll be spending a lot of time on the back deck watching loons, cormorants, pelicans, rafting ducks, hawks and gulls. The passing seals and otters are a treat too. We stayed put for most of our stay, but it's good to know you're 5 minutes from Nick's Cove and 10 from Hog Island Oyster Farm. Be sure to check out the Palace Market in Pt. Reyes Station. Great for stocking the cottage's fridge and pantry for your stay, and lunch at Osteria Stellina in Pt. Reyes Station is required."

  • A Wonderful Cottage Literally On The Water!

"We had such a wonderful time here. The views are amazing! The stars at night and sunsets are really breathtaking. The cottage was very comfortable and the heating worked wonderfully. The kitchen is very modern, anything we needed was available. This is really a wonderful get away for some peace and quiet or to venture about . We hope to return soon!"

  • The Perfect Getaway!

"Booking a VRBO sometimes feels like a gamble - will the home be as great as it appears in the photos? Will it be comfortable and clean? That's why my guests and I were so excited when we showed up to find that 'A Shore Thing' greatly exceeded our expectations. It really felt like we were staying in a friend's home for the weekend. It was very clean and welcoming, and overall just a wonderful location/venue for a truly relaxing weekend. Some of our favorite highlights: - Everyone woke up the first morning raving about how comfortable the beds were (mattresses and bedding)! - The layout of the kitchen/dining room makes it a great space to entertain and be together while some folks are cooking. - The hot tub on the patio was a crowd pleaser - immaculately clean and very relaxing. We really liked the fact that the property was just a short drive (~30 minutes) to great vineyards and tasting rooms, but far enough away from the popular areas of Sonoma to feel like we were secluded. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family, and I truly hope I'll have the opportunity to stay again in the future! Chad was a pleasure to work with and was always quick to reply to my questions leading up to our stay."

  • Abolutely Perfect and Peaceful in Every Way.

"We were able to experience and enjoy this beautiful property only for a brief stay after a busy week in San Francisco on business. The home is wonderfully appointed, perfect kitchen for foodies like us who love to cook and the most stunning of views along the bay. The outside deck was our favorite place for morning breakfast to early evening wine and nice conversation. We used the hot tub once after long days in the city and it was very relaxing and worked quite well. The location of the home is private, yet so close to perfect little restaurants and outings. Not to miss: Hogs Island Oyster Company, Cow Girl Creamery and the lovely, lovely scenery. You must also find a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. We will return to this wonderful and special place in the future. Also note that the host communicated well and left simple instructions for keys and usage of items at the house. Especially loved the fireplace that looked into living room and bedroom, as the nights were chilly and the toasty fire made it perfect with a nice glass of red."
