  • A quiet, whimsical place over changing waters

"We arrived to crashing waves under the house, at once a little shocking but paradoxically, restful. We both got one of the best sleeps of the spring! The view is unparalleled-- on the water-- an easy place to read and nap, the kitchen well appointed. The house is creatively furnished, nautical, with good restaurants nearby. We loved our stay."

  • A magical retreat

"Stayed here for a family celebration and all of us, from toddler to middle schooler to grandparents alike, were so smitten with this place. It was filled with great books, a few great toys, and the kitchen items of my dreams (the best rental kitchen I've ever encountered). I spent much of my time fantasizing about my own family living there--it was so comfortable and tasteful and perfect. We ate outside, played on the rope swing, cooked up numerous feasts, and even played tennis down the road! Margaret was a pleasure to communicate with. Couldn't recommend more highly!"

  • A Wonderful Guesthouse

"George and Shannon have put together a beautiful guesthouse in Sonoma. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon and would recommend it to anyone traveling to the vine-growing region of California. When we arrived, the guesthouse was immaculately clean. We loved the spacious shower, well-maintained garage, and beautiful kitchen space. George and Shannon were excellent hosts: they were unobtrusive but always quick to answer any questions we had."

  • Rustic beauty by the water

"Poet's loft is very lovely, rustic home, on the water. If you are looking for a serene, comfortable and relaxing stay, you will have found it. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking, the hot tub was excellent, and our favorite place was sitting by the windows overlooking the bay. Nature was all around us. I wish I had brought my iPod because I could have listened to my own music, but the system they have is great. If you are older, the stairs and step-in bath tub may be a little uncomfortable, but we found them doable and not a problem. By the way, check out the hours of Tomales Bay oysters and Hog Island oysters, but, this is where to buy fresh oysters! Tomales Bay, Marshall and Pt Reyes are California jewels!"
