  • Very Cool Mountain Home

"Loved the home and the peacefulness of the mountain. Home was very clean and everything was accurately portrayed by the host. We would stay here again and recommend to friends. We enjoyed the Muir Woods hike which is only 5 minutes away--got there 30 minutes before opening for parking by the entrance and free admission before 9 a.m."

  • 10 minutes from Bob Weir's Sweetwater, easy commute, 5 minute walk downtown. dog friendly.

"My wife and I and our Irish setter stayed six nights. I lived in Mill Valley in the 1970s and we visit frequently. I was attending a conference in the City and needed a comfortable place and an easy commute. I had just a 5 minute walk to the commuter bus each morning in the center of town. My wife was able to walk our setter around town easily, take him quickly to the Marin Headlands in 15-20 minutes, get a coffee at the Depot or Peets in a 6-7 minute walk. Each evening I was dropped off back in town and walked 5 minutes back to the studio. We had just one issue...no internet, and we were immediately given an alternative password. The kitchenette is limited but works and there are lots of places to get food. Whole Foods with an extensive takeout is on the same street...Miller, as is Safeway with their deli. Also close on Miller is Super Duper Burger which also has magnificent veggie burgers. And just 10 minutes away by foot are great restaurants downtown. The refrigerator is the little dorm style and held leftovers just fine, but the freezer was unusable due to thick ice build-up. Perhaps its been addressed by now. If you like live music and great food, the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir's Sweetwater club is perhaps a 12 minute walk from the studio. This not a detached unit. The owner's description is a must read. They describe in advance any domestic sounds you may experience. We didn't find it an issue."

  • Peaceful and tranquil

"The sycamore home invites the resident to relax and enjoy the calm environment. It is near a supermarket and the center of town, yet within the house, one feels far from the chaos of hectic schedules. Enjoy the serenity of the patio and forget all of your troubles! Wonderful stay!"

  • What a lovely time

"I'm just returning home from a restful two days at Susan's house. What a gem-- nestled in the trees, you feel so far from the city and yet you are only a half hour away. Our group really loved her home-- so many wonderful nooks to get away and relax. We lounged on the decks (which are not unsafe at all), soaked in the pool, hung out on the couches, napped in the bedrooms, and gathered for wonderful meals on the deck outside the kitchen. Susan was fantastic-- she was very responsive and extremely helpful in making our weekend as restful and special as she could. It is truly a home away from home!"
