  • Perfect house for family reunion

"Peter and Sandy's home provided a perfect setting for our Thanksgiving family reunion in Mill Valley. We had rented two additional apartments on Sunnyside. All were within walking distance of each other and the lovely town; so logistically we had made the right choices. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and well provisioned. We like the division of living space for family gatherings. Football fanatics could watch big screen tv in the family room while others in the family read on the porch or had conversations in the living room. We could see the town and beyond - all the way to the Bay Bridge. For those traveling here in warmer weather, the backyard patio is lovely with a terraced garden and huge outdoor table and umbrella. Our four grandchildren loved the bunk beds. We ate at local restaurants most of the time. We mainly prepared ready cooked meals or cold dishes like lox and bagels. The kitchen was huge. For those who want to cook, the kitchen has everything a good cook would need. Our activities included hiking to the top of Mt. Tam, going to Muir Woods, jogging to Stinson Beach, using the Mill Valley community center, getting spa treatments at Evo spa, buying books at the Depot Bookstore & Cafe, going to Larkspur to see a movie, shopping for clothes in local boutiques, going to Alcatraz and visiting San Francisco to see SOMA and Japantown. There is so much to do and it is wonderful to use Mill Valley as the base. Peter and Sandy are generous and flexible hosts. We travel as an extended family quite frequently and rent condos, villas and private homes. In all our travels, this home will be remembered as one of the best."

  • Great place in the mountains.

"This was a nice to place to stay. Chuck and Anna were great. They responded quickly to any problem or question I asked. This is a great location from the city. We went to napa one day, we went to muir woods, we went to the city another day. Perfect driving distance from all. Especially to get to the redwoods. I loved waking up to the trees and the sound of the waterfall close by. The road turns into a one lane closer to the home which I'm sure makes people who aren't accustomed to those type of driving conditions nervous. Its all part of the adventure. We had a long, much needed girls weekend and we both had a good, relaxing time."

  • Heavenly!

"We didn't know what to expect having never been to Mill Valley but the house and it's location were ideal in getting familiar with the very special town. There is too much to say about the beauty, the choices for adventures, the comfort of the house. We were very sad to leave. It is a remarkable home and city."

  • Picturesque Views

"We enjoyed our stay at the property. The photos are accurate and the views from the living room are stunning. My one piece of feedback is that my friends and I wanted to utilize both parking spots during our stay and when we parked in the gravel space, the neighbors said they had a "spoken agreement" with the owner that they could use the parking space and grumbled about having to move their cars. It would be nice if the neighbors are warned about guests requesting to use the space - they were friendly but made it sound like we were at fault for the confusion."
