  • Perfect Thanksgiving Weekend!

"We wanted to enjoy the California coast north of San Francisco over Thanksgiving. The Magical Cottage at Muir Beach was perfect!!! Sound of the ocean from the cabin and great deck to take in the views. Usually we stay in Stinson or Bolinas, but Muir Beach was nice and tranquil. The beach is an easy walk from the cabin (it does require a short climb uphill back). The cabin is clean and comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen. We would love to come back. Took a peak at the amazing succulent garden outside of the adjacent Mole's Cabin and would also love to try that unit out next time! Can't recommend this listing enough!"

  • very comfortable

"I came with my boyfriend after attending a conference in San Francisco. What a great change of pace. We were only able to spend 2 days at this lovely home. It was perfect for us, very comfortable, private. Lunch on the balcony, best view. We hiked at Muir Woods. The parking lot is empty if you go before 0900. Muir beach was also fun. I would like to come back again, anytime."

  • Great location.

"Great location, within a few minutes' walk to the beach. The roar of the Pacific was delightful, both day and night. And the place was immaculate. Highly recommend the Pearl."

  • Hooray for Privacy, Heavenly Hot Tub, Friendly Owner, Fun Place!

"We rented James' place sight-unseen, but were very pleased when we got there--so sweet! The fences and hedges give you complete privacy for the outdoor hot tub, and yet you're not in so remote a locale that you feel spooked. Inside, there's a great claw-foot tub, pretty rugs, a very comfortable bed, and large towels. We highly recommend, and hope to return! One detail to be aware of that has nothing to do with the wonderful property itself: the drive to the unique town of Bolinas from SF is not for the faint of heart! It's one of the most gorgeous routes imaginable, on Hwy 1, but runs up and down mountains, with dramatically gorgeous vistas from way-high-up bluffs that I enjoyed but that terrified my husband. Took about an hour and was worth it."
