  • We hope to make this a family tradition!

"My family of four just spent the Christmas holidays at this charming, wonderful house. And even though it rained almost every day of our visit, the weather could not put a damper on our trip, largely because we absolutely loved staying in this house. (My husband joked that he hoped the owners wouldn't mind a lodger... because he was not planning to leave). The owners opened their home to us as if we were their close friends. And my daughter was so inspired by their art that she came home and tried to replicate it. More than anything, though, we just knew that we were staying in the home of a happy, warm family (odd as that sounds given that we never met them!). I am a Bay Area native and know Marin County well. You cannot beat the location for a true "Marin" experience: close to the city, but an absolute retreat. Best things: the views at sunrise and sunset; their extensive, interesting library and art collection; relaxing in the hot tub on a rainy evening; driving the "back way" to Pt. Reyes. Also, the proximity to open space trails means you can hike in the morning with views of the SF skyline and the East Bay, then make into the city for lunch in Chinatown. The neighborhood is great for running, too. Truly, this house (and its location) exceeded our expectations."

  • Clean, Comfortable, Perfect Location

"We arrived late at night and forgot the instructions to the lock box. We had to ask the owner to help us into the apartment. Luis was nice and very understanding; he showed us around the apartment which was beautiful and very clean. His kindness was greatly appreciated. The apartment is much bigger than what the pictures display. The neighborhood was safe and quiet which made it great for evening walks and to nearby restaurants. We always found a place to park each night within a block of the apartment, so this was no issue. We communicated by text during our stay and always received a quick response. We definitely stay here again! We highly recommend this rental! Thank you, Liz & Luis"

  • Wonderfully romantic and charming

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Lonestar. It was magical falling asleep on the water and even more magical waking up in the beautiful Sausalito harbor and eating breakfast on the dock. The house boat is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and contains many fascinating objects. It is also in a great location - on the water, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy parts of Sausalito. Although downtown Sausalito is not too far - a bike ride or long walk away. It is only a couple of blocks away from restaurants and a supermarket, and on the tourist bus route. We loved walking on the docks and viewing the other interesting house boats."

  • The best place to stay in Berkeley

"My husband and I stayed at the "Kiwi Cottage"' for twelve days. It was the most delightful stay We have ever had at a VRBO. Absolutely wonderful! The cottage was so clean, comfortable and warming. We just loved it as did my grandson too. We picked fresh tomatoes off the vine barbecued in the beautiful garden and enjoyed the friendship of Sharon and John. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay for us and my grandson. You are awesome!!"
