  • Beautiful House in an Amazing Location

"My family stayed at this property between Christmas and New Years – we had a total of 10 people (two families of 4 and a set of grandparents). First, this location of this property is amazing. The house is within walking distance of so much – the grocery store, great restaurants, tennis courts, parks, Fisherman’s Warf, etc. The view from the windows in the front of the house is beautiful. The house comfortably fit all of us. There was the master suite, which had a nice size bathroom, two very large closets, a futon couch and a beautiful view of the marina. Another room had a queen bed with a pull out sofa and a bathroom. A third room had a queen bed (very hard) with a twin bed. There is a fourth room with two twins. The third and fourth bedroom shared a small hallway bathroom. We had two cars between us, we parked one in the garage and the other in the driveway. Unlike other VBRO properties I have stayed at, there wasn’t a write up with information about the property. However, the owner, Virginia, is very accessible when there are questions. For example, for the wifi there was just a slip of paper with some information on it but without full directions (like which network to connect to) so we had issues getting connected. When I texted Virginia she addressed it right away. So as long as you don’t mind texting her when you have questions, not having the write-up isn’t a problem. I can see why one of the reviewers complained about the set up in the kitchen. While the kitchen is stocked with everything that you will need – it is a bit disorganized. For example, there were a variety of bowls but they were spread across two or three cabinets and on a variety of shelves – so it can take a while to find what you need. If you plan to do a lot of cooking during your stay, this may not be the house for you. But for breakfast and light cooking, it works just fine. Overall, this is a beautiful house in an amazing location."

  • Perfect

"The owner was very acccommodating by being flexible with checkin times to suit our flight/arrival times. A great experience staying in such a grand apartment located not far from the more chaotic downtown area. A central, convenieng location just blocks away from cafes and buses, and a short taxi/uber ride to most points of interest. A great way to start and end the day"

  • Great Location and Cozy Stay in San Francisco Bay Area

"My boyfriend and I stayed at this property for four nights during the month of September while on vacation. To start, booking the property was extremely organized and efficient with Rhonda responding immediately and supplying a multitude of useful information regarding her property. This included door codes, wifi, location, and other information regarding the surrounding area. Upon arriving, Rhonda was more than accomodating to our early arrival as she allowed us to store our bags and checkin a couple hours before the designated time. Her and her partner were extremely welcoming, friendly, and left us with a fantastic bottle of wine. We were initially skeptical in booking a property where the owners were close in proximity but Rhonda and her partner were extremely friendly and not overbearing in any capacity. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with and even gave us great suggestions/directions. The ground floor unit you will be staying in opens to a beautiful backyard and garden with your own separate entrance. On a sunny day the backyard is gorgeous - the pictures are a great representation of the property. Upon arrival, our initial impression was that the property was extremely clean and was surprisingly very comfortable despite the temperature being above 25 degrees Celsius and no AC. The appliances are new, the kitchen is stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal, and the bed is extremely comfortable. There is a good amount of square-footage in the unit and does not feel cramped. The condo is located one block away from Market Street within the Castro area. This area is a safe and fun district for a young couple to enjoy nightlife and has extremely good access to the rest of the bay area through Transit. We encourage anyone staying at this property to simply hop on a tram or bus system to take you anywhere you need to go - there is direct routes to the Wharf, Chinatown, and other popular attractions. Despite the above positives there are a few small issues that any renter should be aware of. The decor is mildly out date so if you're sensitive to these things then maybe you would rethink. Despite this, it was never an issue for us. At times you can hear the individual on the second floor, but once again it was not too intrusive. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at this property for its absolutely amazing location, stocked kitchen, peaceful ambiance, and great owners. We will stay here again if we make it back!"

  • Terrific Location! Nice amenities!

"Stayed here in early November 2016. Property owner was great to work with and has thought of everything. The appliances in the kitchen are high end. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice having 1.5 baths so that two people could use bathroom at same time. The property was recently updated and is in a very safe neighborhood and convenient to the Fisherman's Wharf. Going the opposite direction on Stockton toward Filbert has a LOT of restaurants and nightlife. I highly recommend a neighborhood bakery called Victoria's Pastry Company. I do not recommend renting a car in the city if you are just going to stay in the city. Parking is challenging. But if you do, research which parking lots to garage your vehicle. It is expensive and few have in/out privileges. Parking on the street is limited. Just use Uber and public transit. The neighborhood is quiet too. For those of you in the south with central air like me, be careful in the summer months. Many places in the city do not have central air. Fortunately, the temperature was great and fans were provided for guests in each bedroom. I would definitely stay at this place again. There is even a corner market one block down that has all the essentials."
