"We fell in love with the apartment during our two-week stay. It is within easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants, cafés, and markets, especially Asian, Russian, and Polish ones. Several bus routes have stops close by, and the Muni 38 series traverse the entire city via Geary Boulevard, from Market & Beale downtown all the way to Land’s End.
In the interest of economy, we ate most breakfasts and simple dinners at the apartment, since it has a complete and modern kitchen. Two separate bedrooms—one soft bed and one firm—make for easy sleeping. The living room has a wide-screen TV, and the bathroom has a glass stand-alone shower. The entire apartment has been completely redecorated and modernized, but retains its beautiful, original hardwood floors.
Surrounded as it is by traffic, the apartment is very quiet, perhaps because of its location in mid-block. In addition, the neighborhood feels safe.
The owner is accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We are grateful to her for making our dream San Francisco vacation a reality."
