  • Mission Garden Charmer

"We spent 10 days in this charming garden apartment. Rhonda, Bill and Trooper were wonderful hosts! You have everything you need in a well-appointed home away from home with the added bonus of a beautiful and peaceful garden. You are in the middle of the busy city but the apartment is very quiet and relaxing. The location is very good in a lovely neighborhood straddling the colorful Mission and Castro districts. You have easy public transportation access to Union Square, SOMA, and the Embarcadero/Ferry Building/Fisherman's Wharf. You are in very convenient walking distance of great neighborhood restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and laundry services. Look up info on walking tours of the colorful murals in the Mission. We look forward to our next stay!"

  • Fantastic apartment, fantastic location

"My husband and I stayed in this great apartment for six weeks, and if I could give it ten stars, I would. The apartment itself is beautiful: a thoughtfully renovated Victorian with its original charm, but modern kitchen and bathroom. It's light-filled, spacious, airy, equipped with everything you could possibly need, spotless, quiet and comfortable. Great beds -- we slept so well here! My favorite thing about it was the sensational view of the gorgeous Dolores Park, bay, and skyline of the city, as well as the lovely Victorian across the street. It's quintessential San Francisco. The location is phenomenal. You're a two-minute walk from Dolores Park and the Muni, which takes you all over the city, and a lovely stroll down Liberty St., one of the most beautiful residential streets in the city, to Valencia St., with some of the city's best restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Finally, Alan, the owner, is a wonderful person, very efficient and responsive, and incredibly flexible and thoughtful. We've stayed in many vrbo rentals over the years and this one can't be topped!"

  • Big & Beautiful

"A fantastic stay for 1wk for our family of 7 adults from Australia. We had plenty of room for us to all stretch out & the big kitchen was great for cooking breakfast before heading out for the day.Having 2 full bathrooms was a plus with nobody missing out on showers, plenty of hot water for all. Perfect location with public transport & grocery shopping only 5-10 min walk. Very safe neighbourhood which we loved walking around. We were on the level above the French restaurant & very little noise was heard. We loved the furnishings & the beds were super comfy. Well stocked on towels etc 10/10 everything was perfect."

  • Very nice spot

"We stayed here for a month's vacation in early 2016, without a car. We took full advantage of the nearby bus stops and the City's outstanding public transit system to explore San Francisco widely. The apartment is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It's very sweet and clean, fully equipped with everything you might need for a home-away-from-home, and many added thoughtful touches. The house backs onto Coronado Heights Park, a sweet little neighborhood green spot, with easy short trails to spectacular views - and a great dog run for the neighborhood dog walkers. If you are a dog person, you will love watching them play in the large fenced off area within the park. The Randall Museum in the Park was closed for renovation while we were there unfortunately, look forward to a return visit after it re-opens. The area is hilly, but that's San Francisco. Landlord Guillermo was easy to contact and most accommodating. I'm sure we'll be back."
