  • Awesome Location!

"Andy was very nice and quick to respond. As soon as we got there he offered to take us on a short tour and explained how to get around with public transit and the sites to see. The location is cool and located in the heart of the Castro district. Andy and his partner are big dog lovers and they just bred about 6 little lab puppies which he let my children see. Super Cute. The only drawback is that if anyone in your party has dog allergies, you may have some symptoms. The bed in the room is pretty comfortable. The pull out beds in the living room are big, but I would recommend them for kids seeing as how they are not nearly as comfortable as a real bed. Overall, the setup worked great for us and we look forward to visiting again next time we're in San Francisco. Thanks Andy"

  • Great House, A Few Issues

"We really enjoyed the neighborhood, beautiful and quiet, looking down on the Castro to the North and Noe Valley to the South. Great restaurants within walking distance in the Mission in one direction and Noe Valley in the other, and easy access to mass transit. Perfect for our family of four, since we love to walk, but be prepared for the hills, which is to say be prepared for San Francisco. The house is roomy and beautifully furnished. Street level is the middle floor with living room, dining room, kitchen, deck with great view. There are two bedrooms with a shared bath on the top floor, including the master with a wall of windows the same great view (although without window treatments, so better for early risers). The lower level is a den with a big-screen TV and a pullout couch. (The mattress, mattress pad, etc., did not seem clean, so we did not use that room for sleeping, although it would have allowed our teenagers to spread out.) The second bathroom is on the lower level. Other bedding was clean and comfortable, and bathrooms were clean. The kitchen is beautiful, and was equipped with everything we needed (although the fridge was full of the owner's food, including perishables). The owner provided an incorrect entry code, and the door latch was broken, so we were unable to get into the house at first, and we had some difficulty reaching the owner. We met several neighbors while trying to get into the house, all of whom were friendly and helpful. The house is listed as no pets, but the owners have a dog, so this property may not be suitable for those with pet allergies."

  • Well appointed apartment with great views.

"We really enjoyed our stay. It has all the amenities you need and is located in a nice area. It is a hike uphill from the nearest buses but in our eyes the walk was worth it and if exploring the city, using the muni is easy compared to trying to find car parks. When we wanted to travel further afield we were lucky enough to find parking close by every night. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay."
