  • Comfortable & Stylish

"We loved our stay at this lovely Noe Valley apartment during our relocation to SF. The apartment is furnished beautifully, has a wonderful kitchen and we enjoyed a few home cooked meals. The bed is very comfortable and the linens are top quality. What we loved most was that the apartment was immaculate and everything smelled clean and fresh & Mary was extremely communicative and took care of our needs. I highly recommend this apartment. Plus Noe is a great neighborhood."

  • Beautiful home in a perfect location

"We (2 adults, 2 kids under 10) stayed at Kathleen's place for 2 weeks in the summer and had a great time. The back garden patio is lovely and peaceful. Everything you need is in walking distance and it is very easy to get anywhere from nearby bus stops and the J train is only a few blocks further away. The local library branch is two doors down the street and out-of-towners can get a visitor's library card. Wonderful views if you walk a few blocks in any direction. Kathleen was very accommodating and welcoming and the rental is clean and well appointed."

  • Wonderful Apartment in a great San Francisco Neighborhood

"We have fond memories of the Clipper Cottage. When we lived in San Francisco (Noe Valley) and having our 1st child, our parents stayed here. We became very familiar with this lovely apartment and Carla & Julien's hospitality. Fast forward 6 years, and we wanted to take our two kids back to San Francisco and show them around. We were delighted to get the chance to stay at Clipper Cottage once again and can't say enough good things about the property. The Noe Valley neighborhood is a real gem in San Francisco - plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops and bars within walking distance (plus a Wholefoods to stock on groceries). Highly recommended - we will always plan on using Clipper for future stays in San Francisco!"

  • Excellent Choice!

"We recently returned from our trip to San Francisco and we could not have been happier with the accommodation provided by Jay the owner. The location was perfect for us, during the day we would venture into the city to see the "touristy" sites as well as some of the lesser known things to do and see. At the end of the day we would return to a nice quiet, safe location and fall asleep to barely a sound from outdoors..perhaps the odd car on the street but the hustle and bustle of downtown is just far enough away to allow you to decompress after alot of walking. The apartment is in a very hip area of SF, the Mission District is only minutes away on foot, the Castro is the same only in the opposite direction. Delores Park is just up the hill (everything in SF is up a hill, so bring good comfortable shoes like runners or proper walking shoes), Delores Park was a nice area to chill out in the evening and it seems all the young people from the area gather there to drink wine, play frisbee and see the city from one of the best vantage points in the entire city. There is a market in the same building and we were able to pick up any provisions we needed during our stay. For a big grocery order there is a Whole Foods about a 5-10 minute walk away, and a Safeway about a 20 minute walk away or easily stopped at by the transit system. The transit stops are very handy to the apartment as well, the F train (or maybe the J train) stops just at the top of the hill from the apartment (maybe 3 minutes on foot). This train will take you directly downtown where you can easily grab another part of the transit system to go virtually anywhere you need to go. There is also the BART system that is about a 15 minute walk down along the Mission District that will take you quickly either downtown or to the airport. We did use Uber a few times until we became familiar with the transit systems then we only took trains, cable cars or the BART to go anywhere. The bus system also works very well, we took the bus into Haight & Ashbury which only took about 15 minutes. Jay keeps this apartment immaculate and it is decorated in a cool hip retro kind of way, very funky and fun to come back to. I wish we had more time to enjoy his upstairs patio. This is not a party place, it is in a nice upscale area and well looked after. Jay was a wonderful host and provided plenty of tips and advice for getting around the city. We would definitely return without hesitation."
