  • Clean, conveninet, good location

"We arrived late at night and followed the instructions on the app to access the apartment. The apartment is great for a couple. The location is convenient to a lot of attractions and very quiet. We did have a car with us. The owners do not have a parking spot for the rental and you take your chance with getting street parking. We were lucky and always found a place to park within a block of the apartment. We did not see the owners as we were keeping late hours. We communicated by email during our stay and always received a quick response. This rental is a great alternative to a hotel room and you get much more for your money. We recommend this rental."

  • Great location, very responsible owner, well-equipped

"We travelled with our two young kids, without car rental. This place is beyond our expection and definitely we want to stay there again. The apartment at Lake street has great location, which is quiet and safe, close to a variety of grocery stores and restaurants, and easy access to public transportation, MUNI. Traffic on Lake street is not much, make it easy to walk around, even with stroller. At night, it is quiet and safe that I am not worried even when sometimes we got back quite late. Lake street is only one street north of the California street, on which California # 1 bus runs all the way east to downtown, and two streets north of Clement street, on which many grocery stores, either Chinese-style (New May Wah is the most popular one) or American style (Smart & Final), located. We even frequently went to nearby Trader joe's and Target, by taking MUNI. The owners, Matt and Linda are so kind and responsible. Whenever I had any question or ran into any trouble with TV-Cable, internet, or heater, they always helped us quickly. The apartment itself is well-equipped, making it easy for a family of four to stay there for an extended period of time. Overall we are very satisfied and surely would like to stay there again next time when we are in San Francisco."

  • Beautiful home in a beautiful location

"My family could not be more impressed with our gracious host and her home. The residence was pristine and well appointed. Just one block north of Golden Gate Park, the residence provides easy walking access to all that the parks has to offer. Having access to a computer with internet access made planning trips and daily activities simple and convenient. And just as a testament to the host's generosity and attention to her guest needs, our host mailed a pair of gym shoes that we left behind to our residence. The shoes arrived at our house before we did. Thanks again Juliette."

  • Best stay with VRBO ever!

"We are frequent VRBO stayers and rely heavily on reviews, so we were careful on this. Background - we came to SF to be there for our first grandchild and needed a pet friendly place with two bedrooms and close to the Western Addition. We have absolutely no criticism's of the Duck's Nest and the owners. Some of the great (and not all) things we found included: a well prepared / stocked home down to unbelievable detail, everything worked, we had a garage (and parking in front), great access to Golden Gate park, enough room to watch sports events / movies in the living room for (6) plus pets, very comfortable beds, a great laundry room, kitchen and back yard. Finally Lisa, Diana and Rob Duca were great hosts / owners!! It was simply perfect for us! BTW, we had a healthy grandson!"
