  • Gorgeous HomeAway from Home!

"This home is exceptionally gorgeous. So much so that I didn't want to leave. The interior is furnished with exquisite taste. You just feel happy being there. One night before going out to dinner we decided to relaxed on the charming patio with a glass of wine and enjoyed some nice cheese as well. Afterwards, we took a short walk to Chestnut Street and had dinner at Izza's!! A delicious steak House restaurant! I also recommend; Mama Mexican Restaurant, Lucca Italian Deli, and Over the Moon for the best ice cream in SF. There are so many more great restaurants on Chestnut and Steiner. All within walking distance. And the Marina is definitely within walking distance. You can even walk to the Golden Gate Bridge which is a little farther. I would say a lot of people young and old prefer to walk everywhere in the Marina District, especially when the weather is great, just like on Sunday, July 10th. Our last day in SF. But since our flight was at 10:00pm, we had plenty of time to walk on the GGB, 1.7 miles and we also, had time to visit the museum Legion of Honor! All before returning home to Los Angeles. We look forward to our next HomeAway and stay at this incredible home!!! I can't wait!!"

  • Loved it!

"Had a very fun and memorable family vacation. The home is in a fabulous location with countless shops and restaurants in close walking distance. Everything with home was found in excellent condition, well appointed and very clean. Mike was responsive and great to work with throughout! Our kids loved the game room and upstairs bedrooms with view deck! Would definitely highly recommend this home. When and if we go back to SF this home will hands down be my first choice."

  • Nice, well located

"My husband and I stay for 4 days with our daughter, it's a nice studio, clean and beautiful! It is really close to everything, we walk to fishermans warf, to union square and a lot of places. Ruth's recomendations was very useful, so we have delicious dinners. San Francisco is an awesome place, and we were very happy to stay here!"

  • Excellent Choice!

"We recently returned from our trip to San Francisco and we could not have been happier with the accommodation provided by Jay the owner. The location was perfect for us, during the day we would venture into the city to see the "touristy" sites as well as some of the lesser known things to do and see. At the end of the day we would return to a nice quiet, safe location and fall asleep to barely a sound from outdoors..perhaps the odd car on the street but the hustle and bustle of downtown is just far enough away to allow you to decompress after alot of walking. The apartment is in a very hip area of SF, the Mission District is only minutes away on foot, the Castro is the same only in the opposite direction. Delores Park is just up the hill (everything in SF is up a hill, so bring good comfortable shoes like runners or proper walking shoes), Delores Park was a nice area to chill out in the evening and it seems all the young people from the area gather there to drink wine, play frisbee and see the city from one of the best vantage points in the entire city. There is a market in the same building and we were able to pick up any provisions we needed during our stay. For a big grocery order there is a Whole Foods about a 5-10 minute walk away, and a Safeway about a 20 minute walk away or easily stopped at by the transit system. The transit stops are very handy to the apartment as well, the F train (or maybe the J train) stops just at the top of the hill from the apartment (maybe 3 minutes on foot). This train will take you directly downtown where you can easily grab another part of the transit system to go virtually anywhere you need to go. There is also the BART system that is about a 15 minute walk down along the Mission District that will take you quickly either downtown or to the airport. We did use Uber a few times until we became familiar with the transit systems then we only took trains, cable cars or the BART to go anywhere. The bus system also works very well, we took the bus into Haight & Ashbury which only took about 15 minutes. Jay keeps this apartment immaculate and it is decorated in a cool hip retro kind of way, very funky and fun to come back to. I wish we had more time to enjoy his upstairs patio. This is not a party place, it is in a nice upscale area and well looked after. Jay was a wonderful host and provided plenty of tips and advice for getting around the city. We would definitely return without hesitation."
