  • Great location and comfortable.

"This is the second time we have stayed here for five nights. The location is an easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower and all the North Beach restaurants. The apartment is comfortably furnished, very clean and very well-equipped. We love the view from the kitchen and living room. It's great to have a place to park the car and have access to the roof top terrace. The owners are very responsive and helpful."

  • Experience the North Beach neighborhood

"From the sweet little apartment, to the quiet street it's on, to the wider environs adjacent to North Beach, we savored our brief but delightful stay. After settling in, we walked down to the Embarcadero and enjoyed lunch on the wharf and a visit to the Aquarium. Coit Tower on Wednesday mornings coincides with a free tour of the murals, and then paid the elevator fee to enjoy the view in all directions. Breakfast at Mama's is so fabulous that we did that twice, and highly recommend the experience, but advise going early, like 8:00 am, when they open. Walked to Russian Hill for dinner with a friend at Frascati's, a great neighborhood dining establishment. Walked to China Town, with a requisite visit to City Lights to buy a book by James Baldwin, and dinner at R and G Lounge with our son. Highly recommend this site for a brief or a longer stay."

  • The perfect VRBO apartment in San Francisco

"We fell in love with the apartment during our two-week stay. It is within easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants, cafés, and markets, especially Asian, Russian, and Polish ones. Several bus routes have stops close by, and the Muni 38 series traverse the entire city via Geary Boulevard, from Market & Beale downtown all the way to Land’s End. In the interest of economy, we ate most breakfasts and simple dinners at the apartment, since it has a complete and modern kitchen. Two separate bedrooms—one soft bed and one firm—make for easy sleeping. The living room has a wide-screen TV, and the bathroom has a glass stand-alone shower. The entire apartment has been completely redecorated and modernized, but retains its beautiful, original hardwood floors. Surrounded as it is by traffic, the apartment is very quiet, perhaps because of its location in mid-block. In addition, the neighborhood feels safe. The owner is accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We are grateful to her for making our dream San Francisco vacation a reality."

  • Bright and relaxing getaway

"We stayed at Jane's spot over the course of a week for a conference held downtown at Moscone Center. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Incredibly convenient, wonderfully appointed, and thoughtfully designed, we especially enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and cozy fireplaces. Every morning, we were greeted by the same tiny hummingbird perched outside our window. It's hard to believe you're in a city, with the amendities of Haight and Cole so close by. Thanks for the stay, Jane! Can't wait for an opportunity to come back."
