  • Lovely, spacious home with views!

"My family stayed here for the weekend and had a marvelous time! I wanted a quick getaway from the SF Bay area for family bonding time with our two young adult children (20-23), brother in law, and dog. It was a really good decision and the Crow's Nest delivered the space that we needed. We are ATT cell subscribers so our phones didn't work (Verizon works here) -- I didn't worry too much because they had a landline that was available and also internet if we really had to connect with the outside world. We didn't miss the phones but make sure that you have the addresses and directions where you want to go because reception on the road is spotty. We brought our dog, Max, who was just as happy as we were. There's a lot of room to spread out, tv in the evening (bring your own DVDs), back yard to play Frisbee, watch the deer or occasional fox that strolled by, and view of the water! Town was just 6 minutes away with a few restaurants and sights from the movie, The Birds. This is a good jumping off point to explore Point Reyes, Bodega Bay, Jenner, Guerneville, Sea Ranch and back."

  • Peaceful Retreat by the Beach

"The bungalow is wonderfully located on a quiet street just a few steps from Moran Lake lagoon and a eucalyptus-lined walking path which borders the lagoon and leads down to the beach. It was great to have the option to just walk to the beach and leave the car in the driveway when we felt like it. The house was comfortable, with a laid back atmosphere; the kitchen was very well furnished, and the spacious back yard was perfect for our son's Golden Retriever mix. We also enjoyed barbecuing on the deck and adding fresh tomatoes from the garden to our salad. The location is peaceful and relaxing but also close to many great restaurants (including Cafe Cruz for breakfast!), the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor (we enjoyed a sunset cruise around the bay with O'Neil's) and Capitola. It was perfect for our group of four adults. Highly Recommended!"

  • Tranquil neighborhood

"This house was the perfect place for our family to stay while in Davis for our daughter's graduation. It is in a tranquil leafy neighborhood not far from all the action of campus and town, actually a straight shot down Anderson Rd from where the grad ceremonies take place. (But far enough away from noisy student housing!) The house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The house has an open floor plan, and nice little garden in the back. I would have to say that the beds are just ok. The owner was responsive and informative. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely house in Davis. Thanks!!"

  • One word.... AMAZING!!

"This house was so amazing!! We had 9 people in our group and there was more than enough room for everyone to relax and have fun. The children (4 of them age ranging from 16 - 12) basically had their own wing! 2 twin beds and a set of bunk beds and a big screen t.v., leather sectional, their own bathroom and kitchenette! The dinning room was big enough to fit our family with out having to bring extra tables in, which is rare for us. LOVED the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, all you can hear are the birds, wildlife and the wind through the trees. It was also really nice to be close to Armstrong Woods. To walk through with these tall giants was amazing. We would all stay here again."
