  • Beautiful property close to nature and city

"This is a beautiful property in a perfect location. Walking distance to many great restaurants and fun city spots, also close to quiet Presidio nature. The kitchen was well stocked and the house wonderfully furnished. We felt at home right away. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for the fabulous experience!"

  • Beautiful House in an Amazing Location

"My family stayed at this property between Christmas and New Years – we had a total of 10 people (two families of 4 and a set of grandparents). First, this location of this property is amazing. The house is within walking distance of so much – the grocery store, great restaurants, tennis courts, parks, Fisherman’s Warf, etc. The view from the windows in the front of the house is beautiful. The house comfortably fit all of us. There was the master suite, which had a nice size bathroom, two very large closets, a futon couch and a beautiful view of the marina. Another room had a queen bed with a pull out sofa and a bathroom. A third room had a queen bed (very hard) with a twin bed. There is a fourth room with two twins. The third and fourth bedroom shared a small hallway bathroom. We had two cars between us, we parked one in the garage and the other in the driveway. Unlike other VBRO properties I have stayed at, there wasn’t a write up with information about the property. However, the owner, Virginia, is very accessible when there are questions. For example, for the wifi there was just a slip of paper with some information on it but without full directions (like which network to connect to) so we had issues getting connected. When I texted Virginia she addressed it right away. So as long as you don’t mind texting her when you have questions, not having the write-up isn’t a problem. I can see why one of the reviewers complained about the set up in the kitchen. While the kitchen is stocked with everything that you will need – it is a bit disorganized. For example, there were a variety of bowls but they were spread across two or three cabinets and on a variety of shelves – so it can take a while to find what you need. If you plan to do a lot of cooking during your stay, this may not be the house for you. But for breakfast and light cooking, it works just fine. Overall, this is a beautiful house in an amazing location."

  • Quiet, convenient place to stay

"Joe was very responsive to inquiries about our stay, and flexible with our changing arrival time. The neighborhood was quiet, and we enjoyed being able to walk a few blocks to Whole Foods market. Parking is a bit tight, but Joe makes it work by allowing visitors to park in the driveway, as long as your car can be moved when they need to get out. Would be nice to have a few basic amenities for cooking (i.e. bottle of vegetable oil) that you wouldn't buy during a short visit, and a dish rack or somewhere to put dishes after washing, but the place does have most of the basics and overall was pleasant to stay in."
