  • Like stepping back in time

"I came to Alameda to visit my elderly father. I was seeking a place to stay where I could just be in his company...a hotel room was not an option. Neptune beach cottage was perfect for my needs. It is a cozy and comfortable apartment decorated with impeccable taste in a 1940-ish style. It is an easy walk to the Webster Street cafe and a short drive to beaches and the SF ferry. Karen, the hostess, is gracious. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise."

  • Lovely, quiet, comfortable

"We, a group of four women celebrating a birthday, shared this lovely house in Sonoma. We cooked meals, spent time on the patio and on the deck, and late evenings in the small but very comfortable living room. The house is well set up for guests and very comfortable. We had to call for extra paper supplies and the lock box was a bit difficult to use, hence four instead of five stars."

  • Fabulous family-friendly retreat surrounded by nature

"We just returned from a most enjoyable and memorable week-long family reunion at the Moon Mountain house. We have only superlatives to describe the experience. The house is beautifully furnished and maintained yet children friendly. The mountain views are a constant presence as our three-generational family swam in the sun-dappled pool, hiked up the mountain ridge, barbecued on the lawn or had everyone gathered round the large dining table for a meal cooked in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen (two dishwashers, two coffee machines, two ovens and a professional chef’s stove!) Thoughtful touches made this house special ... the hammock under a canopy of trees, the ping-pong room, the wrap-around terrace and verandah where children could do an art project on the outdoor table under the shade of a large sun-screening umbrella while a mum or dad caught up with the inevitable office phone mail just a few feet away. Wifi was good out on that verandah and in the comfy TV room where we caught the start of the Rio Olympics. Even with a big extended family there was always enough quiet spaces to retreat to, to read or just to nap. The responsiveness of Bridget and Kevin the on-site staff was exceptional. She was contactable for our every question and need, driving up to fix a sticky door one day and bringing us a replacement coffee grinder on another. We loved that Sonoma’s vineyards, cafes, shops, supermarkets and yoga studios were just a ten minute drive away. Yet we were living amidst nature’s serenity where our city children got the chance to see animals such as hare, eagles, a coyote and a mother partridge leading her eight babies into the bushes right next to the house. Those who got up at 4am one morning to catch a reported meteor display were not disappointed. We highly recommend this Moon Mountain house!"

  • Relaxed and Happy.

"The Full Circle Cottage is one of my favorite Northern California beach get-always. My friends and I have been coming here for over 10 years. I love the views from inside and from the deck. Being able to curl up on the comfortable sofas inside in front of the pot-bellied stove or sitting out on the patio in front the the lovely stone fireplace is a lovely way to enjoy the cool beach climate. I was impressed by the Native American decor which highlights and honors the history of the area and is so pleasing to the eye. The cottage is comfortable and inviting and so cozy. I hope to return here again and again!"
