  • Great vacation home!

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is clean, comfortably furnished, and looks as if someone just moved out and left everything behind. The kitchen has every gadget one could imagine, and the chickens out in the side yard are vastly entertaining. I had to laugh about one small detail -- we've rented several homes in Hawaii, and they never seem to have paper towels in the kitchen! Along with everything else, this house had paper towels, for which I was very grateful. The owners seem to have thought of everything."

  • Fabulous Location

"My family of 5 consisting of 2 adults and 3 children stayed in the property. Our host Ralph communicated several times before our trip giving us very helpful information and tips for our stay. Ralph meet us downstairs (Note the unit is up 5 sets of stairs and we had no problems carrying our 7 weeks worth of luggage up but we were prepared and aware of the stairs before we arrived) the home has a large kitchen lounge area with everything we needed. The main bed was comfortable with plenty of cupboard space, the second bedroom accommodated our 3 children with the double size bunks and pull out trundle. There is no blind/curtain in this bedroom (privacy is not a problem) however light does enter the room during the evening which did not bother my children or effect their sleep at all. The bathroom/ laundry were tight but clean with quality linen and some body wash and shampoos supplied. On Ralph's suggestion we made the effort to sit on the roof deck with our coffee and watch the sunrise which is fabulous with views around including out to the bay. Great restuarant's and coffee close by and short walk to Pier 39 area, trolley cars, Fishermans Wharf, Alcatraz tours, Lombard St and much more. We recommend this property."

  • Location, Location, Location!

"This house is really pretty great. It's huge, but with a somewhat funky configuration. There are three bedrooms and each bedrooms has a queen and a twin. So...it's best to 12 individual people or 12 really good friends, but not best for 4+ couples, like we had. It all worked out, with some people on air mattresses, so I really have no complaints about that. Beds could go for a comfy top layer, but again, that's nitpicking. The kitchen is probably the best stocked kitchen I've ever come across, but I highly suggest they get a new set of knives (or you bring your own). Other than that, the kitchen has everything you could ever need. The location cannot be beat, being a stone's throw from pleasure point. The little beach cafe/convenience store right next door is also really nice. The decks are awesome (and by far my favorite place of the house) and the grill worked splendidly for all our dinners. Speaking of dinner, they have a small table in one area of the living room and then a 6 person dining table, so if you're looking for twelve people to fit around one table, you won't get it here unless you push tables together and even then it might not work. For our group, it was just fine, with some people eating outside and some inside. If you're looking for a large house with a lot of space right smack on pleasure point, then this is the place for you. Not super luxurious, but it has everything you need for a great stay (but for reals, new knives are a must). A group of us also walked to the small beach about five minutes away, which was lovely."
