  • Truly magical in every way

"After reading every last review, I was wondering if the magical cottage could possibly live up to all the wonderful things people have had to say about it. It does and then some! We visited the cottage for spring break at the end of March, what a perfect time to visit the weather was perfect. As everyone seems to mention, Victoria is lovely and has thought of every last detail for her charming cottage and it's guests. We were pleased to find a coffee bean grinder and french press, both of which were used every day during our stay. The location is absolute perfection, very few properties has was Victoria's does in location alone. A quick walk down the hill to the beach, 2-3 mile drive to Muir Woods, 15 minute drive to Mill Valley, hour drive to Point Reyes - highly recommend taking the drive and 45 minutes to Five Brooks Ranch for horseback riding. So many things to do! And let's talk about the view, ahhhhh, that glorious ocean view. My husband and I would get up early and watch the dolphins play from our bed with the binoculars Victoria has thoughtfully left for her guests. Sitting and watching the stars on the deck at night was one of our favorite things to do, the stars shined brightly for us! In addition to the best location Muir Beach has to offer, the cottage itself is cozy and charming, spectacularly decorated with a modern, beachy feel. Extra comfy blankets and linens tucked away in storage under the built in sitting area. Victoria maximized every inch of the cottage and our family of 4 found we had plenty of room. One smartly decorated bathroom worked perfectly for our family. I can't say enough good things about the Magical Cottage at Muir Beach. We can't wait to return. Thank you for your hospitality, Victoria. You've created a gem and lucky us to have been fortunate to find it!"

  • Noe Valley Gem

"My teenage son and I could not have selected a better place to stay. It felt like home the moment we walked in the door. Extremely clean and comfy. We used the kitchen to cook meals daily and it included all the pots, pans, and cooking items you would have in your own home. We barbecued one evening on the patio grill and this was a nice addition to the apartment. We used the public transportation system for the first half of our trip (BART & J Train) and the apartment's location was extremely close to the stops. When we rented a car and got a parking pass we had no trouble finding parking on the street. We enjoyed the huge selection of movies Anjal has available! The tourist information and maps that Anjal had in the apartment were appreciated and helped us immensely. She was great to work with and although she was not in town when we visited she made sure to email us while we were there to make sure everything was great and left us a back up person just in case something needed immediate attention. She gave us thorough details on check in and check out and it was a very smooth process. I can't wait to rent again from Anjal !!"

  • We'll be back!

"This was my family's 4th time staying at the Sojourn. Each time is as wonderful as the first! Can't get a better view of the ocean waves than what this offers. Feels like our own personal beach house:-)"

  • Beautiful space provided a lovely time with family, in a beloved family retreat...

"The Whitney House was the perfect spot for our family reunion vacation, we came from Seattle, Maine and Illinois, and met in this lovely place for 4 fantastic days. We had everything we needed! The fireplace was truly enjoyed, as it rained nearly everyday, and provided a wonderful cozy backdrop for snack type suppers of magnificent local cheese, wine and beers. We enjoyed local restaurants, great views of Tomales Bay ,and hikes nearby. The home felt immediately like home, and fit us perfectly, my brother, a retired librarian delighted in perusing the extensive collection of books. The internet service was great, the owner responsive to our special requests, delivering a package I sent ahead when we first arrived. If you are looking for something chic and 5 star this may not be the place for you, but if you are craving a warm, inviting, rustic space this should fit the bill perfectly! Can't say enough good things about it."
