  • Beautiful Home and View - Great Girls weekend

"We had 8 women in our 40s meet up at Chateau Relax-O for a girls weekend. The house has amazing views and the rooms are all nice. The best part is the front living room overlooking the ocean. There is a lot of seating so we could all hang out together. A few steps above that is the TV room, also with big comfy sofas. The only thing I would caution is if you plan to sleep on one of the "sleeping mats." I hate sharing a bed so I slept on one the first night but is was really uncomfortable (hard and thin so like sleeping on the floor). As a result, I did share a bed the following night because I wanted to remain in the master bedroom (nicest room). The bed was very comfortable. We hired a private chef to cook for us on Sat. night and that went well. The kitchen had everything we needed but I suggest getting dinner size plates that aren't plastic - it kind of cheapened the private chef experience. Also, note that the BBQ is somewhat small for 8 people (I think 2 burners) so we had to cook our Fri dinner in batches. Overall, we had a great stay and wonderful, relaxing time catching up with one another. That was our main goal and this is a wonderful house for staying in. We visited Sebastapol to check out the local area and soon realized we would have been better off if we hadn't left the house for the day."

  • Exceptional Fourth of July!

"Two families and their friends had the BEST time enjoying all of the fantastic amenities here! We're all big waterskiers and to quickly get out on the glass in the morning was such a luxury and be back for a fabulous breakfast on the deck couldn't be better! The exposure of this house is perfect... nice sun in the morning that then travels around to the pool and sets behind you allowing for good shade during the hottest time of the day. The breeze coming off the delta by the pergola was our favorite place to hang out when we weren't out on the water. The house is very quiet for sleeping and provides enough space for the teenagers to collect in one area and adults in the other! The kitchen is WELL stocked for cooking for larger groups. The professional grade appliances are appreciated... our favorite chef was with us this weekend! The fireworks were visible from the deck both near and far. It was actually the best fireworks I've seen in a long time and we didn't have to go anywhere! We'll definitely be back."

  • Perfect for a wine getaway weekend

"Reflections was perfect for our girls weekend in wine country. It was in a quiet location and secluded from everyday life. It was SO close to a lot of great wineries along the Russian River. It was clean and easy to access, no complaints!"

  • Beach Glass House is an All-around Winner

"We have rented vacation homes in the Santa Cruz/Aptos areas for nine years. Beach Glass House is--hands down--the best of all our rental experiences. The home is spacious, light, and decorated with very appealing beach decor. The owner is very responsive, and two minor issues were resolved swiftly and completely. The beach is a short walk from the front door (+/- 5 minutes), although there is a bit of a scramble over large rocks to get to the sand. This home is wonderful for the entire family, although it would not work for anyone with serious mobility issues, due to the stairs up to the front door and the interior spiral staircase to the upper and lower floors. That said, we loved it, and our group of 10 included five children from 1-1/2 to 11-1/2 years and 5 adults, including grandparents (us), ages 30s to 70. The owners have thoughtfully provided a variety of beach gear--sand toys, boogie and skim boards, etc. There is also a pool table and a ping pong table. There is a single, large flat-screen TV in the loft, and I actually enjoyed the absence of a TV in the master bedroom and living room! The back yard is very nicely landscaped, and the hot tub was a huge hit. There is a hand-held, warm-water outdoor shower next to it with a flexible hose for rinsing off before enjoying the hot tub and heading indoors. The home's location is also excellent from a convenience standpoint. It is ten minutes or less to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, supermarkets, or the Boardwalk, and equally close to a large number of restaurants. All of these can be accessed via city streets, making it possible to avoid the ever-present traffic snarl on Highway 1. We also enjoyed the upstairs deck, complete with umbrella table, gas barbecue, and outdoor heater. Oh, did I mention that it also boasts a view of the ocean?!! In short, look no farther than Beach Glass House. We returned home yesterday and have already booked for next summer!!!"
