  • Peaceful Retreat

"My wife and I met 32 years ago on 11/1, the Hideaway was perfect for peaceful 2 day stay. The hot tub was the first thing we noticed and within 5 minutes we were in our bathing suits ( after showering first) and enjoying ourselves in while a romantic light rain fell. The next day we went to Fort Ross and then to the Russian House #1 for dinner ( a very eclectic and hippyish feel). I would recommend staying at the Hideaway to friends, family and anyone interested in having time away from your normal routine."

  • Clean and tidy

"The place was nice and clean and tidy with nice touches for visitors to Sonoma. It is close to the square and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The property was just as described and I would recommend it to friends or relatives."

  • Fantastic cottage, perfect stay!

"The place was bigger than the photos make it out to be, it's a good size house, and perfect for me and my two daughters. It is exactly as it is described and the place is very clean and very well maintained. It was such a treat for us to be so close to the beach. We didn't even venture to any other beaches, Twin Lakes had everything we needed for our stay. We used the Radio Flyer cart to take our things down to the beach and across the sand, that was great! so we could bring extra chairs and a cooler etc. Nancy was a pleasure to deal with and was super fast in returning the safety deposit. always a plus! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • I love Stinson Beach and this charming cottage!

"My adult daughter and I stayed here for two nights to explore the coast before heading into the hills of wine country. This place really felt like home. The beds were quite comfy, and the kitchen was great! I am a chef, so know my way around a kitchen. LOL! However, other than breakfast, we really didn't cook because that was why I was on vacation - to let someone else cook for me. The little town of Stinson Beach is quite small, and has a tiny grocery store, but we were surprised at the quality way it was stocked! It seriously looked about the size of a gas station convenience store, but was so wonderful. Guacamole and salsa were stellar as were organic cheeses and produce! The cottage is a very short walk down a cute little path to the beach, and of course close to town. We had such an incredible dinner at the Parkside Cafe, we went back for breakfast! It was also fantastic. As we explored the coast, we stopped at a place right on the highway just north of Stinson Beach, called Tony's. Oysters Bingo might be the best oyster dish I have ever had in my life. It was their version of Oysters Rockefeller and simply delicious. Their shrimp and crab ceviche was unique in presentation and also yummy. Crab was in season, so one day we ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for someone who doesn't wish to stay right in San Francisco, but wants to explore Muir Woods, and the charming coastal towns like Bolinas."
