  • Light Airy Retreat with View and Near Bountiful Outdoor Activities

"Upon first glance, we were thrilled. The view as you descend onto the deck was incredible; we could see all the way down the coastline to the city. The open floor plan and giant windows allowed that gorgeous view to frame a light and airy living space. The decor is casual, tasteful, clean and new. We slipped into a relaxing vacation mode with a glass of wine on the deck and watched birds and bountiful butterflies. The sun was shining onto the deck and into the house and a there was a soft coastal breeze. When it came time to cook, we were pleased to find a kitchen stocked with all the pans, glasses, utensils we would need and even some staples and condiments. The generosity of the owner was apparent. The bedrooms kept with the same light, airy feel as the upstairs. The beds were cozy and the bathrooms clean. We had an event at the Pelican Inn, which is a short drive, but did not want to leave the Coastal Home. Although we didn't have time to walk the trail to the beach, we drove down to the main beach for a refreshing swim and a fantastic hike up a trail to look over the cove and ocean. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time. Thank you!"

"Such a treat every time we drove onto the property. Vines laden with grapes next to the deck and a garden with ripening vegetables. We spent so much time enjoying the area, we did not spend enough time at the cottage. It was perfectly comfortable with everything needed. We prepared our breakfast, picked up picnic lunches in Sonoma and explored the wineries, parks, gardens all within 30 miles. Three days were not enough time but we had plans to spend 5 days in San Francisco. Best vacation in many years."

"We finished our 9 day trip to San Fran, Sequoia and Kings Canyon in the sleepy little town of Pacifica staying for three nights. What a delight! The views were fantastic from the two front decks. We were able to spot whales on the horizon. The house was well furnished and decorated. The home has not been updated too much since the early 90s but it just adds to the charm. It is so clean and well taken care of. A lot of extra towels which are always a treat at VRBO rentals. We walked several times a day down to the pier and along the beach. We ate at several small restaurants in the area. We highly recommend this property and hope to come back soon."
